Camp doesn't start until late July/early August... I don't see the rush in hiring, don't want to give the new guy anything worry about over the 4 of July weekend, right? Seriously, though, he really should know who he wants by now. Either the new guy, or girl (look at how progressive and PC I am), can't be hired right now, is still being convinced to apply, or something of that sort, then, sure, waiting is all right. If he's choosing out of the available pile then he could legitimately have this done by today if he really wants to. That's what is frustrating. You can scream process all you want, but it's been proven this can move faster. I'm hoping that he has a guy and the former possibility I laid out is what's happening, but some's thoughts have made this seem not all that likely.

Yeah I think its a little disconcerting that people trash the only championship winning coach in und history.

I'm warm to Hammy now. He may be a rube but he is bending over backwards to be "our" rube. I appreciate that. I think he is mountains better than last year as well.

For all the patience talk he has probably had the whole second half of the season to do this. He should know who he wants though it sounds like him and I disagree. He should know who he wants by now. You can race through the process if need be. I was hired by und before. Get off the pot and on with your day.

It's an unbelievably great working nickname. Plug into old Sioux stuff... Plus,I've come up with like a million chants (they write themselves) "The defense we'll cut through, if we hire Pflu" Combine that with #chuckthepigskin and putting in an actual air raid siren in the Alerus, sign me up.

I don't see how it's illegal for a coach to talk with Faison and have a frank discussion of said coaches chances in a wink wink sort of way. I don't even think it's immoral. I would go out of my way in my business to get specific people to apply for a job in addition to the HR required application time (private sector requirements for equal opportunity status kind of things).

The most disappointing part of that interview was Brian said there was no legal way to hire someone who didn't apply. It kinda of looks like the list we have is it. Removes an element of suspense.
