I think if we beat Sac State Saturday and both the offense and defense shows up, say a score of 38-14, we'll enter the polls and there will be a big rowdy crowd for the Cal Poly game. Especiacially if Poly handles Davis and they also enter the polls.

I think Hanson starts again when healthy but with Marcus playing well we definitely don't need to rush Hanson back. Play Marcus against Sac St and let Braden get fully healthy for the rest of the Big Sky season.

UND wont see a corner better than Leon McFadden the rest of the season. The scary thing is that it sounded like he straight up dropped two touchdowns. He looks absolutely uncoverable now that he has a quarterback who can get him the ball.

It's as simple as this: If the defense tackles like every UND defense I can remember, we'll have a chance. If the defense tackles like they did against Portland State last week, we will not have a chance.

You say that like they're inferior or are performance enhancing drugs of some kind. What's wrong with a Canadian kid coming to UND to get an education and play some hockey? It's not like most of these guys are looking for the fastest possible route to the NHL. Almost all of our Canadian players also had the option of playing major junior hockey in Canada but chose UND. Plus, it's Canada. If we had a bunch of Russians or Swedes who didn't even speak English I could see your point but there is virtually no difference between culture in North Dakota and culture in Canada. If you saw these guys walking around campus and had them in your classes you'd never bat an eye unless they flat out told you they were from Canada.

I apologize. The deferred 5 days in jail came after minor #2. So if a similar judge is in charge, Travis would likely NOW need to stay out of trouble for a year to avoid spending a few days in jail

I think offensively we'll be just fine against SDSU. I doubt Marcus will have as much luck scrambling against SDSU as he did against PSU but I think the regular run game improves and the passing game sees some success. Defensively we're going to have to play 3x as well to even give our offense a chance.

2 full rows of the parking lot at the Alerus are usually full. I imagine the tailgating crowd for the Montana game will be much bigger than that.

Speaking from experience, a standard deferred sentence for a minor is a $1000 fine and 5 days in jail. I certainly would've ran from a cop if I had been drinking and caught within a year of that original minor.

If you're able to make it to Grand Forks for a Ralph tour on Friday I would recommend eating supper at any of 3 places downtown and then hanging out at any of the downtown bars for the night if that's your thing. For supper I would go Toasted Frog (expensive), Rhombus Guys (average), or Red Pepper (cheap). Then on Saturday, lunch at tailgating shouldn't be an issue. There's always food around from people. Wear some UNI gear and get into some Bison-bashing and you should be welcomed with open arms. There's also a "Where to eat in Grand Forks" thread in the community section of this board somewhere. A lot of good recommendations and opinions in there.

I would probably just get tickets through ticketmaster. We charge a very reasonable price for single game tickets ($25 or $20 with $5 budgeted for parking). How long are you planning on staying in Grand Forks?

Rewatching the game on the DVR right now. Hanson was very clearly hobbled on that throw to Hardin. Should've been an easy touchdown. What I didn't realize is that he finished out the drive and took a sack before leaving the game. Hopefully that doesn't mean he injured his leg further by playing on it. But it could also mean a quick recovery time and that he'll be back for the Big Sky season.

Anything but a 40+ point win will be disappointing. Hopefully a bunch of big and exciting plays. Because of the opponent, the hype for the season will not be confirmed but hopefully it will be fueled and we see a big crowd at the Potato Bowl against Portland State.

I hook my laptop up to my tv with an HDMI cable to stream things pretty often. The quality is no different than when I watch something on cable. Of course this depends on the quality of your internet connection. I've never watched the UND Insider on my tv but I've watched 6 or 7 streaming services and the quality has always been good. I'm really excited for Big Sky TV for precisely this reason.

You obviously care about a trend. It just happens to be a trend from the 80's. Why do you follow the trend of loose fitting jerseys and not the long sleeved, tight fitting jerseys from the 60's?

If it were too small for him, he would wear a bigger size. It's not like the Vikings equipment guy gave Peterson a "trendy fitting" jersey and forced him to wear it. Why would Peterson choose a jersey that is clearly too small for him beyond a shadow of a doubt?
