UND heads down south to take on NDSU at Scheels. NDSU is in the process of rebuilding with a new coach after a successful season last year. They still have All Summit and potential player of the year in Lawrence Alexander, veterans in Kory Brown, Carlin Dupree and Dexter Werner, and newcomers in AJ Jacobson and Paul Miller. These two teams have similar strengths and weaknesses (strong at the guard, while weak at the post). This game can go either way, but I expect UND to pull this one out. The home team has won all 4 matchups since the game resumed play in D-1. Jacobson was hurt for the Montana game, is he good to go for the game on Saturday? So how will UND slow down the big 3 of Banham, Zahui, and Kelly. Banham didn't play last year, neither did Kelly who was a Old Dominion transfer, and Zahui ripped us to pieces last year. Be fun to see those individual matchups between Wagner and Strand, Kelly and Loyd, Zahui and Evers, and Banham and Szabla/Knox/Dyer If UND can be aggressive with the Gophers zone and hit open shots and limit turnovers, they have a great chance. The Betty needs to be a hornets nest for the Gophers. Watch Wagner, she is the next in line for Gopher Guards, she can fill the stat sheet at any moment once the game slows down for her offensively.

I believe that we have girls that can step up and hit the outside shot when necessary. Its my concern as well but in the games I've watched so far is when they get open looks they bury them. Strand, Dyer, Sir I, and L auck would be our best options. I think Loyd can step out and hit from 3 if she wanted to. She has it in her game. Josie Dillon would have been the 3 point marksman for this team but just cant stay healthy. (Red shirt???)
