I think we have 2 key pieces for the next 2.5 years. Now we need to build on that, hopefully Geno and Seales are the next pieces for next year. The guards will be fun to watch once again next year.

If Hooker can start knocking down 3's at a good clip he will be one of the better guards in the conference. Nice start to the conference season scoring a shade over 14 ppgs and increasing his assist totals. 10 assists in the last 2 games isn't shaby. Keep it up.

The one thing I have been wondering about North Dakota being included on the committee list of names, don't you think they would have perhaps have done some homework on adopting no nickname and making sure it could be used? If they know if can't be used, why included it on the list? Why waste peoples time and get their hopes up on something that potentially will not be used? We need to get moving on this one way or the other. The other fear I have is that if the ND legislature gets its way, does that mean that after the committee has to start all over again, meaning that it might be until 2020 before a name is finally adopted?

Sac State strength is in their backcourt, possibly the best backcourt in the conference. McKinney and Garrity are two of the best. They also have a 6'11 Center, while not the primary scoring option, can fill it up when need to (had double figure games against NAU and SUU last weekend) Perimeter Defense is going to be a focal point against Sac, we cannot give them any open looks or we will pay. If we can get solid production from our frontcourt for a change, we might be able to get this game, which would be a good win. This is a game where I would want to get Nash and Shanks going. Hope Hooker can keep his solid production up as well. If we play well in this homestand, we could win all three and sit at 4-1 in conference play and traveling out to Idaho.
