Best playoff path for Twins would be this 1) Baltimore 2) Texas 3) Minnesota 4) Tampa 5) Houston 6) Seattle They can beat Texas and Seattle in the playoffs and forced the teams that give the Twins trouble (Tampa, Houston) to knock each other out and then deal with Baltimore.

The College kid from Armstrong is LEGIT. He can do everything on the defensive side of the ball. He can rush the passer and drop back in coverage. He is EXACTLY what UND needs as a DE or OLB in the 3-4

The whole: Fields should have been drafted by the Niners takes needs to die right now. He is NOT that guy. He never will be THAT guy.

Defense does look better in areas from last year, but.... it still have room for improvement. Is it enough to make a difference? Offense looks good, but man... Tommy can't take too many more of those hits without hurting something.

Lopez, Gray, Ryan and Maeda can win a series or two. Plus Duran in the backend. If they can get Ober back up and running, that's another weapon.

Depends on who they see in Round 1. Rangers are fading last, so its either Seattle, Toronto, or Houston more than likely. I could live with Toronto in Round 1 and then getting Seattle in the ALDS. I think that's the best path.

Thoughts that will be wrong later after week 2 -I'm not shocked that Montana State nearly beat SDSU. I think SDSU can be had early in the year, but when we get to Nov/Dec, they are going to be very difficult to take down. -UNI finds themselves in a familiar 0-2 hole and they have little room for error now with @ SDSU, @ ISU Red, YSU , NDSU, and UND left on their schedule. Could have a very desparate Panthers squad on 10/21. -SIU will be a playoff team, lots of bottom teams left on their schedule. Big one against SEMO next week. -USD can win 7 games this year, UST needs another year or two, espeically on the offensive side, to start being competitive with the scholly teams. I would love to see the Tommies get a bottom MVFC team on the schedule and could beat them. -the Cam Miller/Cole Payton dynamic will be very interesting in Fargo. Not suggesting any QB contraversy but Payton is a weapon that needs touches.

They can get to the ALCS. They have the pitching to do it. It will all come down to the offense.

Those in the know: What has brought on the resurgence in GFRR FB? Are they getting a good core that's coming up? Did the move down to AA help? Are they going to go back up to AAA in a few years if they continue their success?
