  1. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/4463670-kennedy-receives-positive-evaluation-ndus-chancellor Looks like Jacobs isn't going to get his wish.
  2. Opinion 2 year later: the same as it was the day it came out
  3. Brazil manages two goals in stoppage time in the 2nd half to pick up 3 points against Costa Rica.
  4. With the way Argentina is right now, they could get at least that. They are a mess right now. I'm expecting Iceland to win tomorrow.
  5. Argentina... woof! The door is wide open for Iceland or Nigeria to get out of the group.
  6. Spain/Iran had a little drama but yeah, this was probably the biggest meh day of the World Cup so far.
  7. Can we keep the nickname talk where it belong. This is the 2018-19 men's basketball thread.
  8. Anybody want to take bets on what the SBoHE decides to do next Thursday in regards to his contract. Jacobs is pretty much saying fire him without coming out saying it. http://www.grandforksherald.com/opinion/columns/4461730-mike-jacobs-big-issues-loom-nd-board-higher-education-including-kennedys
  9. How common is that for a person to be traded twice in one day?
  10. Upsets today in the last group: Japan and Senegal took down group favorites Columbia and Poland respectively. Lets see how Russia finds a way to fix... I mean win against an Egypt squad that has their best player back.
  11. whoops..... I forgot about them
  12. Belgium is taking it to Panama. Teams from Europe have yet to take a defeat so far in the World Cup.
  13. Iran will be playing with house money for the rest of the group, even so much as a draw against either Spain or Portugal could get them through to the knockout stages. Boy wouldn't that be the perfect opponent for Russia.... England plays tomorrow: Lets see how they do this time around, last time they were in a major tournament Iceland helped England leave Europe for the 2nd time.
  14. I think that would be a very safe bet. Otherwise, why would they jettison a 7 footer that was on scholarship.
  15. Well after how Brazil looked against the Swiss I am beginning to wonder.
  16. Mexico gets the victory over Germany. If they can take care of business in the next two, they might be able to avoid Brazil in the round of 16. Germany on the other hand....
  17. I've seen three of the pre-tournament favorites play (France, Spain, and Germany) and outside of a few flashes from Spain, have not been impressed by any of them.
  18. it probably is "plays to a draw"
  19. I forgot to follow my rule: Never Trust a Bill Self led Kansas team on the big stage.
  20. Iceland draws against Argentina.
  21. Morocco continues to have an awful week: Not only did they lose the bid to host the 2026 World Cup to the USA/Mexico/Canada joint bid, but an own goal in the final minutes costs them the game against an Iran squad who only won their 2nd World Cup game ever. Spain/Portugal lived up to the hype and then some. La Furia Roja is going to regret not closing that out for 3 points. Ronaldo looks like a man on a mission.
  22. Just because the US isn't in this time doesn't make it any less exciting right? (okay, I'm lying... couldn't get a damn point against T & T????) Russia didn't need to bribe the refs in the opener as they pummeled the Saudis. The Battle of the Iberian Peninsula should be a good one tomorrow: Spain is one of the favorites, but there is drama with their manager being fired just before the cup began, and of course Portugal has Ronaldo.
