Soccer now sits 2-1-1 in the Summit after taking down St. Thomas. They are now 6-5-3 overall. Great bounceback so far after going 3-13 and 1. Big roadtrip at Tulsa and KC next weekend before finishing the season at home against the Dakota Schools.

Sad to break the heart of the announcing crew who clearly wanted to see the Saints win. Vikings found a way. They are 3-1. Schedule is quite favorable here to make a run.

So much for my hoping that Northern Arizona would make a run this year. They are 1-4 and 0-2 in the BSC. What should we make of Abilene Christian? 4-1 right now. They could be rolling into GF at 6-1.

Need to be no worse than 5-3 by Halloween. Going 6-2 would be amazing, but can't be worse than 5-3.

Next week the Valley has 2 interesting matchups outside of UND. Hate week in Brookings. Yotes desprately need a win and have finally reached the end of the death part of their schedule, SDSU want revenge from last year's hail mary loss. Can't afford to look ahead to the titantic showdown in Fargo. Springfield: Mo State need a win to avoid going 0-3 in the Valley and getting that dreaded 4th loss. Good news for the Bears? The schedule really softens up after this one. SIU has turned their season around, but really need to get this one to be in a good spot for the playoffs.

I don't know if this gets talked a lot, but Smith has some really good hands for a running back. The screen game with him was really good yesterday. Maag is starting to put things together, had another good game. This will only help the offense going forward if he keeps this up. Defense took a step forward in the 2nd half, now they need to build off of that.

Although the season has been over for a while. There are still two reasons to pay attention. Woods-Richardson is pitching tomorrow Arraez could win a batting title.
