Fletch, I have a strange feeling that there might be more of you and DaveKs than people who are not willing to see the whole athletic department crash and burn. Your statement about the NCAA telling us is right or wrong will go a long way with people in North Dakota. Who by the way do have a strong track record of voting against their own best interests out of spite.

I know there is "NOW" a real threat but when the NCAA started this anyone with common sense knew that there were going to be problems down the road. People just decided that through their own delusions that they were going to get the NCAA to back down. For years Minnesota and Wisconsin said they would not schedule us with the name. More people than not thumbed their noses at them and now have a different veiw. For years the anti-logo crowd said what the problem was and what would happen and the supporters slammed them right and left. Now the origional supporters are parroting them. We will soon see how many Fletch and DaveKs are out there.

This is different in what way that many posters here talked for years? Honoring NAs was the arguement that was used by all the supporters. The only difference bewteen DaveK, Fletch, and the rest are that they have stood by their beliefs where the rest faltered. I think there are a lot of DaveKs and Fetches out there. It is amazing how people that supported each other for years now attack each other, reminds me of the state of the GOP today.

Hard to say since there has been such a shake-up in the Habs coaching/administration and who origionaly wanted Kristo are gone. How many kids his age are there playing in the N vs. the A?

What makes you think that would change a thing? Who would have taken a team as far as far as Hak did this year with what he had to work with? NONE!

Bout sums it up. Where most schools would be so happy to make it to the Frozen Four UND fans expect this to happen and if they do not win it has been an of year. How fast people forget the 90's here and the empty arena.

There was a private school tourney and a Catholic school tourney until 1974.

I would really question Minnesota's numbers. They claim 9,000 plus attendance all the time even though you can see huge amounts of empty seats. Are they counting people there or tickets sold?

Thanks Goon. Isn't great better than very good? Snuggerud, my favorite all-time Gopher. I did get to see him play once when he was with Buffalo. Funny but when you said Andy Brink I thought of golf before hockey.

Why am I thinking that Andy Brink is a great golfer? Or am thinking of someone else?

I curious if these schools require their atheletes to have the same ACT/SAT scores and other academic requirements as the rest of the student body?

When you think how much Mayville State gives I could just imagine how much they give. A good student at one of the Wisconsin schools that plays hockey will get more in academic scholarship dollars than a hockey player at UND will get in athletic scholarship dollars.
