  1. You would think so but maybe it doesn't. Can anyone answer this for us? One thing for Chad would be a helluva pay cut from Lincoln.
  2. Or why they practice in towns with populations of 4,000 or less.
  3. Chad can't get the job since he does not have a college degree. That's why Hak got the job instead of Steve. Steve only finished his degree in the last couple of years. Whereas Brent got his along time ago.
  4. You expect anything less from a small town lawyer whose even appeals DUI cases, which he lost by the way.
  5. I really can't see Guentzel going for it but never say never. No matter which of the 3 they pick they can not lose all would make great head coaches. If Cary gets it who should replace him here? Think of all the guys that played here that would make great additions to the staff. Let the speculation begin.
  6. Whose on first? I don't know. I Don't Know is on second.
  7. Concur. I knew what you meant. Cary has to apply for the job. Cary is the guy who could take Mankato to the top of the new WCHA and they would be foolish not to hire him. It would be great if he could get Steve Johnson to come over with him.
  8. Ferris State 3 Union 1. Third goal open net. Union wins face-off in Ferris end with their goalie pulled. D misplays pucks and Ferris jumps on loose puck for a breakaway looking at an open net.
  9. Good point but Cary will collect SS long before Hak. All kidding aside you do have a good point and not just to takeover from hak one day but head at a real hockey program.
  10. This reminded me of a beer league game where Tarek Howard and Paul Endres (El Roco) squared off. No punches were thrown but I know who would have won that fight.
  11. From the pages that I went through from the Feb. 21st thread it seems that most of the people that cheered for Al rarely post here anymore. The ones that still do, excluding Chewey, DaveK, etc. want the name to be retired to save everything else. So in a sense Johnson was partially right but wrong about the majority of the posters here.
  12. Anything is possible in this world. The only thing that I have found to be impossible is putting toothpaste back in the tube.
  13. I would say at the minimum 90% supported the retirement after Al left Indianapolis with his tail bewteen his legs. Al did not suffer his humiliation lightly though and instead decided to make more problems.
  14. Scott, johnson is right there was a lot of support on this board for Al and mocking of anyone who said there would be problems. I am not saying you but there were many others.
  15. I think we are on the same page excluding if he plays in the A or E.
  16. Rumors are like a-holes everyone has one. They way every talks about the goalies coming in next year it really might be a good time for him to sign with anyone. If he does not get ice time next year his value drops very fast. People, don't get me wrong I hope he gets the best deal possible. When you think about it leaving for him is probably the best move he could make even if he only signs with an ECHL team.
  17. As you just said a GOOD free agent and Dell is not one of them. If Dell got an NHL affliation it is still questionable but one thing, unless I missed it, no one has said that maybe he is thinking of leaving because of his possible lack of playing time next year and getting out when the getting is good.
  18. The Bison guys have do have a legit point. Clueless Al would have had to have found something else if it had not been drug out for so long. As for the NCAA doing a state ban is not really that far out of the possible realms of outcomes from the vote. As everyone here has attested to the arrogance of the NCAA what a better way to slap someone down then to show them who is the big dog and who is still pissing like a puppy. They could easily slap bans on playoffs for the whole state and nothing could be done to stop them. Thy are going to be very pissed off if the vote to keep the name wins. With their money and power over college sports I would not be surprised to see them slap the yapping mutt nipping their ankles down.
  19. Second that and include current enrolled students. Same goes for when a new moniker is chosen.
  20. Only if he signs with an NHL team and not as a free agent in the minors. If he had been drafted that is one thing but he is a free agent. Free agents tend to become victims of politics.
  21. That he would even get a 75K signing bonus is a big assumption. More like he will sign an ECHL contract with no real bonus and a $350 a week paycheck. A NHL team would pay for the rest of his schooling but not a minor league team.
  22. After tax and agent cut that leaves him maybe 40K and he will not play in the AHL. There are way better goalies in the ECHL than him. Hence, $350 a week playing in the ECHL or god forbide the Southern Professional Hockey League.
