Last team at Central with decent talent was 2009. There has been a lot of undeveloped/uncommitted talent to go through that program..... need to develop the kids and give them something to commit to. Berg was great at getting kids committed.

It's been mentioned before that our recruiting classes have been progressing every year so far under Bubba. In looking back at the last four classes, including the one we are currently assembling, it would appear that scout/rivals/247 agree. The current class has 8 players with at least 2* so far. The 2016 class had 5. The 2015 class had 0. The 2014 class had 2. Keep in mind, obviously, that players like Santiago, Wanzek, Tank Harris, Deion Harris, Mason Bennett, and Alex Cloyd had 0* next to their name. Either way, our classes are getting better and better and our team is getting deeper and deeper as a result.

It's kind of crazy because he was just about our top recruit in his class. Two FBS offers. I'm surprised he didn't see more of the field.

Takes more than one player even in basketball. If Hooker wasn't so short we wouldn't have had shot at landing him.

He will have to go into Florida and other hotbeds if he wants to compete with the big boys. In reality it could open up a few more recruits for us.

Comparing this season to the first few in the Big Sky I'll take a win against anyone and be happy.

Weber wasn't that good and played a vastly superior team. Poly ran into weather that killed their style of play. They wouldn't have made a deep run because of their defense though. EWU was doing their typical EWU thing and it took a miracle catch to beat them against a very good team. Can't blame the weather here. UND was beating the piss out of Richmond and then suffered a fate as embarrassing as erotic asphyxiation. I think SUU would have been a better rep of the Big Sky in the playoffs but still wouldn't have beaten Chatty. It didn't change how I feel about UND's season. We got on a roll. We were missing a couple key pieces. Our fast WR. Our other starting CB. Our stud fr OL who went back to the rez. Our schedule was supposed to be soft as Charmin based on pre season rankings but turned out to be one of the hardest in the conference. Who knows what the schedule strength will be next year? We can guess, but there's no way to predict it. You could probably say that we overachieved. Even still, I expect the team to take another step or two forward next season.

I don't put much weight in Richmond beating us and getting thrashed at EWU. Richmond quit in the EWU. I think QB play UND comes down to depth. If the new transfer can push Studsrud that will be a great thing for us. At the very least he can be a competent backup and allow the coaches to use the full playbook with Studsrud running instead of just trying to avoid any contact for him. The OL was atrocious to start the year. I believe that's why Studs struggled to start the year. If the OL is as improved as we are expecting it to be that should translate to a better year for Studsrud.
