Kind of funny if you think about it; in college hockey the last 15 years there are those who wear maroon and everyone else.

Kind of cool that the 3 best teams in the nation were all from the NCHC. It could easily be us against Denver right now.

Checking necessitates picking your head up, faster hands and decisions, getting stronger on your feet, and being more aggressive on defense. All of these things are why we love mens hockey. Frankly it's sexist that women aren't allowed to check so maybe instead of a Title Whine gripe they should talk about adjusting the rules. As to the participation how often do you hear of parents not allowing their kids to play hockey because of the checking? Do you think more boys would play hockey if there was no checking? Larger talent pool doesn't mean a thing if nobody wants to watch the sport and the really good players aren't even as good as HS boys. It's my opinion that adding checking to women's hockey would save the sport from itself and make it watchable.

Basically every Womens hockey player I have ever asked thinks it's stupid there is no checking since it allows the shity players to get by without needing to improve as much.

Totally agree on the blessing in disguise. Our athletic department will now be lean and mean instead of bloated. Hopefully the same can be said about the academics as well. It's kind of like after a forest fire, it grows back more lush than ever.

I watched it too, we played a great game but we did not handle them. We were fortunate they didn't get any bounces their way in that game.

Denvers whole team is just cold blooded killers. It's what our team lacked this year. Again they are just fun to watch, so dynamic.

At least Barry knows who had the interlocking ND first. He keeps saying North Dakota. Seems the Irish are having brand recognition issues. Shouldn't have stolen our logo.

I really enjoy watching denver play. Their off puck movement is incredible.

I would bet we are pretty damn water tight with regards to Title Mine, I bet they saw this blowback and shitstorm coming from a mile away.

No matter how hard I try I can't cheer for a team from Boston.

I like how the broadcasting a team is in studio while these two schmucks drool on their mics.

JFC is there such thing as a smart hockey player? I know football players aren't all einsteins but wow.

They assimilated very quickly to our culture.
