No better time to start than now! Besides they scored 5 on UMD in the first game and 3 in the second IN DULUTH when they were hurting for offense much much more. Murray and Genoway are back, and I think it's very possible given the possiblity of 3 games. They don't let this series slip away, and I think they will get some scoring out of the deal. So there.

And to think all these (2) years I've been thinking it was Schneider. He did actually shoot the shot that was deflected by Bochenski in game 2 of that series. The shot from Schneider is all I can remember. Maybe I didn't get to game 3? It was just into Spring Break I remember, and the student section was full, but not of students. It was fun all the same. Looking back on old schedules I can remember lots of these games. Plus, I'm noticing that the team is running out of time to gain a Nat. Championship before I graduate. I guess I'll start the prognostication... Friday night we usually have our better game, so if I'm going to pick a 3 game series we'll probably have to go with UND first UND Friday 3-1 UMD Saturday 4-2 UND Sunday 5-4 OT This is the time when teams show the different directions they're going to go. Good teams will step up and do what it takes to move to the next level. The Sioux have been back and forth, and I'm hoping this will be their statement series. It will be a nailbiting series no doubt. Much like the Denver series in 2002, which was also won in OT game 3...on an Andy Schneider slapper from the point. Hopefully history repeats itself, but I'd take Fri/Sat wins to rest for Thursday. Think I can get FSNN in NY?

Just one question, since I'm heading to NYC for Spring Break... Will Sensers be carrying the games? Saturday night in particular. I can go to the Friday game, because I'm not leaving for the cities until Saturday morning. Go Sioux!!

Is there internet audio for that game...or the late game?

I find it funny how there are people on this site (and others) saying the arena sounds quiet. Sometimes it is taken farther, and they are noticably upset. I understand that some aren't able to get here, and I also realize that the atmosphere is crumby regularly. However, being at the game I can tell you that it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. When it mattered the crowd did get into it. Yes, there were times it sounded like a library or a TV on mute; but that's SOP for the new Ralph. I thought it was a fun game to be at, and wish I could've been there Saturday. I was really happy with Smaby's play this weekend. He may have contributed to an opposing goal last night, but he had a strong weekend. I think when it comes down to it in the next few years, he will be a strong d-man. He can be a good puck handler and skater, and is minimizing mistakes as of late. I thought Stafford was off his game tonight. He was given some good chances (common for that line) to move the puck, and more often than not he tried to do too much or fumbled it away. Usually he's solid, but tonight he didn't have it. The defense looked great, in my opinion, aside from a few mistakes. I think they were up in the offensive zone making plays more often than I've seen in awhile. They did have some breakdowns, but it happens and JP was able to bail them out more than once. The PP was good this wknd. There were a few busts, but overall, without scoring a lot they were pretty fluid moving the puck. A LOT of blocked shots for UW saved them today. It looks better than it has in years, though, can't deny that. Very organized when they gain the zone and set up.

AHL All Star game is being televised now on ESPN2. Its awesome to see Zach Parise on the ice again. Brings me back to the not so old days...gives me chills. He's taking the ceremonial face off now...it's just crazy. He looked way better in kelly green and white. Just for those who wanted to know. I'm watching it!

You know what the best thing is? When Frank and Doug mentioned that Lucia was thinking the game was over... Turns out, according to the USCHO recap, that he was, in fact, thinking the game was in hand. It's sooo fun seeing chinks in the armor like this. But, hopefully our players know how important this next series is.

I think Radke "sounded" great out there this weekend. He seemed to be involved in the play, and not make any errors. He didn't take any penalties. If that truly was the case, how could you argue against him playing.

They actually had people in front tonight. Honestly 36 shots 0 goals says a lot. They did everything right aside from finishing. CC just sat back and let us come and we couldn't do it. Very frustrating.

Yes we'll be in the play in game, but I see us finishing 5th. The way UMD is struggling there is no way they finish above us. If you look at the point difference, we should be 5th. Can't say we dont deserve it either. Yeah, frustrating. Time to do another thing GF is known for...binge drinking.
