  1. If Schmidt chose not to retain King last year, it seems unlikely that he would hire him now.
  2. That was the base salary or that's what he received after bonuses?

  4. Is that a new position or did we lose a coach?
  5. Also offered by Maine, UMASS, YSU, Lindenwood, SEMO, Gardner-Webb, Wagner, Campbell, NCCU, TN St, UNA, ISUb, ETSU
  6. It's the team we just played. A Tarleton player announced he was transferring at halftime of their playoff game today. I'm sure he won't be coming here, just thought it was a funny/sad reflection of the portal and of this player.
  7. Posted at halftime of today's game.
  8. Off to his 3rd school.
  9. Perhaps, with the primary differentiation being whether it's done "explicitly."
  10. I hope you don't mind, I'm using your opening post to track transfers in/out, similar to the 2026 committed recruits thread.
  11. I agree it's an interesting idea, just not one I'd like to see implemented.
  12. We wouldn't be a JUCO, we'd just be a team where kids explicitly go to play for 2 years before moving onto a bigger school. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
  13. I think I'd rather go non-scholly than operate as a JUCO.
  14. Ick.
  15. SS is not an outlier in this. If the Minnesota rumors are true, he may see the field on special teams and that's about it.
  16. They can't find anything to rip on so they just have to make stuff up.
  17. Scammers scam.
  18. So far I'm not real upset about any of these. They were all either expected or the spots are very fill-able. With that said, NIL + transfer portal is really destroying collegiate athletics, as I'm just not interested in supporting these guys to watch them leave after 1 year. My personal opinion, we should not give portal players a single NIL $1. If they need NIL to come here, they'll be gone in search of more NIL after 1 year. Recruit guys who want to be here and play for the coaches. You want NIL from UND, then stick around and earn it for your junior and senior years. Also, go film a commercial for Rydell or a local restaurant and actually earn NIL the way it was intended.

  20. Giving NIL to current players rather than transfers isn't just about paying the known player, it's also about team morale and trust in the coaches.
