  1. EERC is now up to $3.75 million per year in noncompetitive state funding. Still a ways to go to catch up to NDSU's $55 million for transportation and agricultural research, which they leverage to secure additional grants.
  2. UNI is a regional university and the Dakotas are national universities, so yes, they don't belong on the same level.
  3. Hopefully it's full-time for just a year or 2. Not sure what a repatriation professional would do once there are no more remains to repatriate.
  4. Didn't they find a lot of remains on campus?
  5. That may have been the threat.
  6. @forksandspoons was the first to spot and post this in the football forum, but I thought it should be seen here as well. Great news!
  7. Did you watch his highlights video? Can't put too much stock in highlights, but the fact he was playing meaningful downs in B1G games tells me he probably has potential for us.
  8. Reporters don't know how numbers work and they've been distracted by book bans, transgender hormone bans, and other juicy cultural issues.
  9. When UND was really cutting in 2017 the state didn't have any money either, so no. They did give UND an extra $2 million in 2019 to get the law school on track.
  10. Being able to point to a guy like Hoosman coming in and completely flipping his professional prospects has to help.
  11. Legislature gave them an extra $5 million to bail them out.
  12. Did 2020-21 transfers count?
  13. I find the line between pee wee hockey and collegiate athletics to be a bit more bold.
  14. Banning collegiate athletics booster organizations from profiting from charitable gaming should be a high priority. If we're going to have "charitable" gaming, it should be for actual charitable organizations.
  15. Alerus stock is down 60% from its high. So they've got their own problems.
  16. One of the other names at the bottom of that email/letter, Bruce Bollinger, is the VP of Finance and Administration. If they're like UND, there's a couple associate VPs, then budget and accounting directors, then accountants below him.
  17. That must've been close to 700 threads. Good kill Sic.
  18. Haha not a great track record there. Fortunately the Bank of ND's primary customers are ND government agencies (other than arranging loans with smaller banks), so not as much risk of a run on cash.
  19. And let's not have this thread just be political shots. There is value to discussing the state's economy without getting into red v blue.
  20. I believe O'Leary mentioned the employees are still in Boston working from home. And keep the racism off the board.
  21. They also had drawings for "free tuition" to try to get students to go to the games.
