  1. Gotta force them to make the 2.
  2. Fwiw, USD was only beating ISUb 7-3 going into the 4th quarter. Finished 14-3.
  3. Although I like the silver helmets, personally I've really liked the recent green helmets, so I hope they don't do away with them completely.

  5. X Twitter needs to allow embedding of tweets again.
  6. Glad we were able to overcome not being within 50 rushing yards of ndsu

  8. Valley City, Mayville, Minot, and Dickinson are in the constitution as "normal schools" and normal schools were defined as teacher colleges. Teaching requires a 4-year degree, so at least by my interpretation they constitutionally must remain providers of baccalaureate teaching degrees. Now, they have certainly expanded well beyond that mission, resulting in significant duplication across the university system. That can and should be addressed.
  9. I think he started summer 2022. He's much better so far.
  10. Headcount is up. How's FTE?
  11. Crumbl does very well in Bismarck. Their cookies are expensive, so I don't think they really need to sell a LOT to turn a profit. Most of those 70 employees will be part-time kids working a few hours per week.
  12. The current ndsu president, Cook, seems like he might be pretty good. We'll see how he holds up against Fargo. Chapman and Bresciani were both slimeballs.
  13. State approved $82 million for upgrading the science and engineering buildings (basically whatever UND chooses) and has indicated they'll approve around $80 million in 2025 for a new STEM building, assuming the economy doesn't tank. For both those numbers, 70% is state funds and 30% local.
  14. Bismarck and Minot both received quite a bit of state $$ for children's science centers. Guessing Grand Forks is attempting to position itself for similar funding.
  15. I believe the city owns all the land around that farmstead now (and maybe the farmstead itself, too). Danks had the land a bit farther south, but I think he passed, so I'm not sure who currently owns it.
  16. Walsh quad will be green space until they come up with another use for it.
  17. Opinion on them tearing down Walsh. Living in that place was a rite of passage.
  18. Boo
  19. Concerns re: locker room issues stemming from money being directed only to certain players?
  20. EERC is now up to $3.75 million per year in noncompetitive state funding. Still a ways to go to catch up to NDSU's $55 million for transportation and agricultural research, which they leverage to secure additional grants.
  21. UNI is a regional university and the Dakotas are national universities, so yes, they don't belong on the same level.
  22. Hopefully it's full-time for just a year or 2. Not sure what a repatriation professional would do once there are no more remains to repatriate.
  23. Didn't they find a lot of remains on campus?
