So you're going to march out a half dozen excuses on how the weather beat SDSU, rather than WIU, and then still say the WIU victory meant more than UND's win ON THE ROAD over a SEEDED team that slaughtered one FBS opponent AND beat the #2 team in the PAC 12 North? The MVFC is good, but there are some very good teams outside of it. Take off the blinders.... or at least try to be consistent in your argument. NDSU lost to that powerhouse USD. Is NDSU not good?
A quality loss there would significantly boost our resume. We don't want to beat too many good teams on our schedule, or else they won't be considered good anymore.
Previous winners include Justin Blackmon, Marquise Lee, Brandin Cooks, and Amari Cooper. If Lewis wins that, I don't think we need to worry about him being on their roster next year.
The first time a 6 win team has EVER made the playoffs, for a team with no wins against a seeded opponent no less. And they booted a 7-4 team with an FBS win and a win against a seeded team to do it.
After it's all said and done, WIU had more "good" losses than we had losses. It stinks, but we never had a chance against a team with that many losses.
I was only listing the teams we didn't already play this year, but yes. Although I think the final result, in terms of wins and losses, would be the same, I'd like to see what would happen in a rematch. Studsrud was living up to the first 4 letters of his name down the stretch.
I'd also like to see us play SUU, SDSU, SHSU, UNH, Chatty, Fordham, citadel, Colgate, ccu, jsu, jmu, csu, mcneese, uni, Richmond, Duquesne, w&m, isu-red, and Dayton.
Meh, defender trying to get a strong running back down, don't really blame him. The ndsu "block" on Arnell was straight up dirty and has no place in the game.
