When you're the face of the athletic department, not being a "prick" is part of the job. During one of the greatest economic periods in ND history, we had an AD who donors didn't like. The process to hire Bubba was also a joke (I'm not complaining about the final decision).

Smile and/or say hi when someone tries to talk to him. It would've been really easy.

Although I think Chaves has to be the guy, Faison won a national AD of the year award too. Just saying.

If there's another sports facility in the world with granite floors, brass accents/moldings, and padded leather seats with cherry wood armrests, I'd like to hear about it.

200 people commenting on Facebook can seem like a lot. 200 people at a hockey game and you hear crickets. They're likely the same 200 people.

As for her statement that she would be at UND for the long haul, I believe that about as much as I believe Porter's claim of responsibility for hiring Fleck (not a lot).

I like the snow too. It's when it's too cold to snow that ND becomes miserable.

He's paid by the foundation. Not sure if he reports within the AD or foundation though. A lot of the foundation-institution relationships are intentionally fuzzy.

Seems to me Ira is simply suggesting people remain open to considering internal candidates and the benefits associated with them.

Thome may have been unhappy if we blew the shutout, haha.
