Based on what the other schools do, we can claim we beat out Iowa and Iowa St for a recruit this year. Also, you have no idea whether ndsu offered recruits that were already committed to us or not.

Taylor was kicked off for dealing. The issues surrounding Hunt, Wilson, and Mercer and the ensuing penalties were a bit more cloudy.

Don't put yourself in a position for a call to be made in that situation.

In 2016, special teams did make a significant contribution to 2 of our 3 losses (Richmond penalty and Stony Brook blocked punt), so I can understand the finger-pointing. But yes, personnel on the field matter.
