Funding for building projects is a bit more specific I guess, probably because of the publicity that comes with it. Spend some state money (which has been mixed with tuition money so you don't really know what's what) on athletics and message board rubes complain about what they think they might know. Spend state money on a building project and it's on the front page of the paper.

The state gives every school a set amount of money based on student credits. What each school does with that money is up to the school.

We don't throw to them as much as we should. Saying we don't use the TE is like saying we don't use the OL.

Even just when the 2017-18 numbers come in, they should be quite higher for ticket revenue. Increased prices in hockey and an extra 1,500 people per game at the Alerus.

Is only 48% of UND's ticket revenue recognized in these reports?

The 52% was implemented with the construction of the Betty. I'd assume at the time, they looked at the costs and said they would need "X" revenue to cover the cost of the bond. 52% was what was needed to generate that revenue. Whether that's still the case with the increase in ticket revenue is up for debate.

Where'd it say who's paying the extra $100k?

All were shown to have a loss. After accounting for champions club donations and allocating administrative expenses, men's hockey is likely to show a profit.

Depends how you define "talented." Some guys are much more "talented" at going into the corners, battling in front of the net, or laying down in front of a slap shot than that high-end early round draft pick. A good hockey team needs both.
