Good move by Hagerott. I appreciate what Kennedy has done, making hard decisions during hard times, but the bridge has been burned. He can't stay if CU changes its mind.
Shirley is highly regarded in Valley City and Minot. I'd still prefer to wait and see if he can turn around Minot's enrollment woes before giving him the UND job though.
Hopefully his departure doesn't put the Gamble Hall money at risk. Rumor is the state will actually be chipping in $15 million. Not the $20 million the donors wanted, but $15 million more than I ever expected.
Joe Blacks loses to the Jonas brothers by 431 votes and beats the 2 bars combined on the other side of the bracket by 2,567. Good effort team, but it's tough when one bar has thousands of teenage girls tweeting for it.
I just don't understand what the staff was thinking with the NG position. Cal Poly could get ugly too. Hopefully they're able to prove they had it all taken care of the whole time.
