My feed last night was pretty bad. The picture was fuzzy; it looked like a bad standard definition feed. It was choppy and froze up on me at several points. When I watched the women's exhibition game; it was perfect: crisp picture and smooth delivery. If they can resolve whatever issues they were having last night so that the game looks like the women's game did, I will be really happy with the internet option. If they can't, it will be a long season.

My connection worked perfectly with a higher quality picture than I used to get on FCS, but I have the fastest internet connection that I can have with Time Warner cable.

I doubt the university cares about any of those things. They want someone who has a proven track record of success and who is a good fit for the university/community. From their perspective, it is the coach's responsibility to make those decisions.

And in the world of academia, the committee chair doesn't generally have more power than any other members of the committee. It is generally someone who is good at organization and leading meetings.

It's fairly common to have a faculty member on the hiring committee. It is usually someone who has been on campus for a long time and is well liked by both the admin and the students. It is usually done to ensure that coach hired will fit into the culture of the campus.

Given that the Saudi national who was in custody has now been cleared of suspicion and was a vicitm of the bombing, it might be a reason to not rush to judgment.

The feed is as good as its source; AmericaOne provides the bandwith and streaming capabilities, which are good, but if the source video is poor that doesn't make much difference. I have no idea if the source video at Mankato will be decent.

I'm curious what your problem with this is. He was asked his opinion; he gave it. He isn't in the classroom. The video shows nothing about how he approaches teaching. Is it your contention that professors aren't allowed to express their opinions on issues? Or is it just that you disagree with his opinion so you denigrate his teaching?

I know that's what he meant. I just think there is another reason for voting for your team's candidate: to let him know how much the fans appreciate him. Knight has given Sioux fans a solid four years of hockey and voting for him is one of the ways we can say thank you.

Apparently some of them aren't even popular at home. The three Gopher candidates haven't cracked 1500 votes combined. Knight has 10 times as many votes as the Gopher trio has.
