  1. From where? Regardless of location, a track title is impressive but some places they got a bit more competition obviously.
  2. UND did have an extra week to prepare(2 extra weeks if you consider the opponent the week before) to practice for the triple option. That can't hurt UND's chances at all.
  3. While possible, I wouldn't imagine UND would feel that comfortable or confident that Molberg is coming for sure that they should withdraw an offer. What happens if Iowa gives him a call and he takes off? If I was in that situation I'd make sure we still had another qb on our radar that we could hopefully bring in. Does UND have any other QB offers out there? I'd imagine this IL guy probably chose Indiana St. because of they are a team built around throwing the football and it probably can't hurt that he would be closer to home.
  4. On the bright side it can't get worse.... Win games. They will come back. Just being in the Big Sky won't bring them back. Being competitive in it will. Students like winners, if UND football is winning important, relevant games, students will come watch.
  5. If it is too much, then let the team know in advance...
  6. And UND spends all of its money on servers for their online "students." *Online classes are a complete joke. I have taken a couple of them, very little effort required.
  7. And yet UND hasn't done anything notable in how long? If NDSU can get all the work they've gotten done on such a tight budget, what great things has UND been doing? Checking the weather? Building more Skyways? If they were both funded equally, as they should be, things would be smoother. Both schools do some good work for the state and the region. So either cut UND's funding back, or give NDSU more money. I think the 2nd option would be best for everyone involved.
  8. Hey bud, sorry to tell you, this isn't the 50's anymore. I notice UND folks like using the word "flagship" every chance they get. Perhaps it is because for some ridiculous reason, they don't like the fact that NDSU is the same size as UND now? I don't know why that bothers you but it must because I see that stupid term "Flagship University" all the time from you folks. So what does that make NDSU? The State's Aircraft Carrier University? The state's Battleship?
  9. NDSU and UND should be equally funded. I don't care if UND has some expensive programs. You think Pharmacy is cheap? You think all the Ag stuff is cheap? NDSU has done more with less than UND could ever dream of. As for NDSU giving out some waivers, there is a price to pay if you want to have some of the top research in the country, grad students don't like doing work for free. Bringing in one of the best vacinologists in the world costs a bit of money too. No reason the two schools in the state who are relatively the same size (give or take UND's online "students") shouldn't be funded essentially the same per student.
  10. Maybe it isn't. Another idea, would save the state a lot of money. Fund UND at NDSU's level. Save quite a bit of money that way.....
  11. Ask most recruits.... Iowa or an FCS school. Almost all of them are going Iowa. Is that always a good thing? No, sometimes they end up unhappy and stuck at the bottom of the depth chart. Someone pointed out on here a reason Iowa may not have offered is because he missed some significant time from a bum ankle right away this season, FBS teams with multiple quality options at that position might be a little hesitant to give a scholarship. If Iowa comes knocking and offers a full ride and he turns it down, I will eat a bit of crow for you guys, I'm looking at his options, potentially being a Big Ten(12) quarterback? Or being a FCS quarterback? Btw, he wouldn't be a threat as a freshman or a sophomore. Too much depth at qb at the good ol' AC right now.
  12. Because the school is underfunded. 'Nough said.
  13. Its warmer than 38 degrees in the Ralph too isn't it? I wouldn't imagine it being that big of a deal if they got cooling coils or whatever some post had in it.
  14. http://www.nd.edu/~observer/09241999/News/0.html Looks like Notre Dame has rights to theirs. It is different than UND's, not much, but when it comes to sports logos, noticable differences probably have to count.
  15. As sad as it is to say, UND fans should really cheer for him to underachieve the rest of the season, for all you guys know Iowa is not offering anyway but if they are looking, and see stat lines of 10/13 250 yards 4 TD's, they might come knocking and asking if he'd like to be a hawkeye.
  16. I'm not knowledgable about most hockey stuff but isn't Hockey East built around speed and precision while WCHA has traditionally been built to intimidate and be more physical? If so, doesn't that mean your going to sacrifice speed for physicality?
  17. Not part of that crowd. Not in support of the NCAA policy(dumb policy). Just think you have to remember the Big Sky doesn't want to deal with a school that pisses the NCAA off, they wanted UND and USD, USD decided not to come, UND is still involved in the nickname thing(Spirit Lake and technically, the state legislature until November), do not put anything past the Big Sky.
  18. Say what? Thought the schools never ever get mixed up?!?! Its ok, NDSU got called South Dakota State on Saturday.
  19. I wouldn't mind seeing what phase of the nickname retirement UND is in on September 22 in that case. Probably complete?
  20. letters of concern from the Big Sky commish. Nice try though bro.
  21. If they dont get the nickname stuff completely settled.....they are gone. You know that.
  22. Probably SIU. He has a nice new outdoor stadium down there, he doesn't have to listen to people talk about hockey, he doesn't have to worry about nickname drama, and at UND coaches don't even know (officially) if they are going to get in to the Big Sky.
  23. Matchups can really suck sometimes. Don't sweat it, a really young team up in Grand Forks. Give them a bit of time to gel together. Either way, Don't think it really mattered tonight, BC looked good.
  24. Im not agreeing or disagreeing, but at the very least, he needs some time. Bill Belichick was once believed to be an NFL coaching failure after a stint in Cleveland.
  25. Doubt he will be returning to North Dakota for anything other than retirement.
