It also needs to be someone who is on the ground in GF, Fargo and the surrounding areas getting businesses on board. It's not enough to just go after high net worth alumni. Get a list of alumni and sift through to isolate the business owners and approach them. Then go after alumni in high ranking corporate positions who have pull. IDK, seems like a good place to start but this is more than a part time gig.

Such a fun stadium. I spent 11 years in Colorado and I would go to at least one home game a year. This year it got so bad that my cousin, a CU alum, did not renew his season tickets. I think he is re-upping them as we speak.

In most cases I fully agree with you. In the case of Colorado I would ask, what identity? They have been a floundering program for years. Fan support is at an all time low and they needed a shot in the arm badly. Like Sic pointed out above, this is probably a short term stop but Colorado needed to do something big and they had the balls to give it a go. I think what Petrino did at MSU is a joke. Bringing in 40 something transfers at the FCS level is idiotic. That team had no chemistry or unity. For Colorado, I would hope he gives the guys on the current roster who deserve it a shot.

Colorado is full of people who are not from Colorado so I don't believe this will be an issue. However, this is definitely shaking things up when it comes to the portal, NIL, etc. Should be interesting to say the least.

He's already got 5 star recruits coming in. I think he will turn that program around quickly. I'm not into all that social media but it's what the kids are into now so it will play well.

This would be so funny. In reality the best way to do it would be for a large upper midwest conference with the Dakota, Montana schools and whoever else to fill in. This assumes P5 goes off on their own which seems likely at some point.
