I would actually like to see us get a bigger goalie like elliot of Wisconsin. I just think being bigger they cover more of the net. I Think our goalies have been a little small and they tend to get run over with no reguard from the opposing teams.

One thing I have learned about the pro-name change crowd there is nothing that they will agree to except the name being changed period. End of discussion. In fact there is no discussion. So I really think Charles is doing a good job by meeting the tribes and keeping an on going dialog with them. I think this should have been done a long time ago but I give him credit for trying.

Try making the person buy beers who's team is ahead at the end of the periods. Its always a fun way to make bets, unfortunately I sat with a gopher fan on Fridays game at the REA in december and I never have a beer bought for me. Buying 6.00 beers can get expensive.

I can think of two Jr's from ND playing down at Minnesota that I wolud love to see signed after this season.

Ulmer, Defauw, Armbrust, Henderson the lunch box kids. Role players that added grit, thought in some timely scoring at the right time. I wish we had that grit on this years team. I remember watching Peter score in the championship game of the Final Five against the Gophers and Woog snapping the next week because he had to play the Michigan Wolverines the next week in the regional at Yost. Oh the humanity.

The Sioux came all the way back to win the games against the dirty Gophers. That season the Sioux dispointed me by going the NCAA playoffs only to lose in the NCAA playoffs to the Michigan Wolverines. Hard to swallow but never the less a good hockey team.

Won't matter, trust me, who wants to bet a few beers payable on Friday during the UMD games.

I am sorry but Drew Stafford will be back for his senior year just MHO, the kid can't and hasn't score against though or ranked opponents. I just wonder what makes people think that he is leaving UND? Zajac I am hoping will stay for a year to play with his brother, Also, I am not sold on the fact that he is ready for the next level either wether it be in the AHL or the NHL. Maybe he should talk to the older Lundbohm. I had a conversation with a guy the other day on this very subject. I said, "Is Travis as good as Zach Parise (nope) is Travis as good as Gionta (not even close) is Travis as good as Rass or John Madden (I don't think so) I don't see who he is going to replace in the Devils Line up? I am just hoping he stays one more year. That being I don't think Travis has done much more than Drew this season. Just wondering. As far as Matt Smaby the kid is a serious monster, but I am not so sure he would be able to step in down in TB either right now.

Speaking of Zach Jones, I saw him almost snap in Bemidji in the second period as mentioned earlier. Someon speared or sticked Jones and he went nuts. The kid has some fire and I like what I have seen this season from him. I think he might be better than his brother or at least in his freshman years seems more stead on the ice than Matt did. Both will be good players in the NHL some day I think.

I also think that a few of these things will shake out in the next 4 weeks. It will be interesting to see if C.C. stays in the 6th place and if SCSU keeps winning relying solely on goaltending, after their top line they really don't have much. How much longer will they be able to run the hooking and holding and not get called for it... Mankato has done a good job beating up on crappy teams but I don't see them making much noise at the end of the season. I also think UND exposed them when they were here a couple of weeks ago. Wisconsin looks like a good team to play right now minus their top goaltender. UMD is really reeling after losing about 6 in a row. The time is now to just win against who ever your playing against. I think UND can do some damage in Denver if they just score first, I don't think The Pioneers are as deep as they were in years past. Settling a score with Punkovich might not be a priority when the teams meet in Feb. If they decide to do it get it over with so they can concentrate on winning the series and getting in the playoffs.

Apparently Drew didnt play the first game of the Regional when UND traveled to CC in 2004.

Did anyone catch the part where TH said that Drew Stafford gets altitude sickness when he goes to Denver and C.C. man that is not good.

Maybe mention it to the players on Defense to shoot the puck and stop trying to make the pretty plays. Or someone should mention it to Hakstol, he seems to respond to TH from the radio crew. I don't know what else a person can do. I like the fact that our Defensive players have been smashing the opposition again. That to me is impressive. We have to two tree trunks back on defense.

In looking at the projected bracket, honestly, I think UND could make the frozen four with the teams they have projected as being in the regional. I know this this is a joke, however, I think UND would pound on UNO and could beat the Goofers. They don't scare me at all, and being UND played barely at all in their own barn and hung with them makes me think UND can beat them. Trust me UofMN doesn't want to play UND in the regional.

I did notice that Lee had two assists and Jones had one. I guess that is good that they are getting points. From the Radio it was apparent that UND was the better team, however, it is apparent that UND doesn't have guys on Defense that like the blast the puck. On a possitive note they scored on the PP right away and got right back in the game. That is huge in my opinion.

Nice to see that we are still stinking up the joint on face offs. Even Zajac lost two more than he won.
