Jeff has done a pretty good hob this past year convincing the most cynical of fans. Lets not be confuse he is a gopher rube but he knows a good club when he sees one and has give the Sioux a lot of credit. I don't expect that from someone especially if they are from the Twin Cities.

JUst got back from the show at the long haul saloon, it was a lot of fun. 5.99 for steak and eggs.

Fighting Norwegians would be a good nickname too. Then we could have a fighting Ole mascot. Yikes we could also have lefsa (sp) and lutefisk as official foods.

Many of us just think it is a stupid thing to say, I don't remember seeing attendance numbers that indicated that NDSU was really bringing them in and filling up the Fargo dome to see Division one football the way that UND hockey is. Its an over the top statement.

I was kind of hoping we would see him playing with Spirko and Stafford again soon, I thought that line was dominate at times. Of course when Hak moved the lines around it also seemed that the team played better. Which was kind of proved when Drew went down with the injury Zajac picked it up more.

But everyone knows this if they are close to UND and NDSU because UND fans have listened to this crap for years. Most Rabbid Sioux fans know that NDSU has an inferority complex when it comes to being a second teir school in college sports. And most UND fans know that they probably never be as popular as UND as far as sports go, I think we can thank Ralph for that, because it probably wont change. When UND and NDSU were both Division two we still had Division one hockey they had a club team that has since folded, sure they kicked our @$$ in football for a time of about 13 years but after that they couldn't beat us. Most of us know that NDSU might very well be Division one in Sports but they can't even get into a conference and no one wants them. I also find it funny that UND probably is more of an attractive Division one school than NDSU based on our facilities.

Depends what your definition of what a star is? I think the points against MSU-M and the goal against Minnesota seems kind of clutch to me. Also, I think UND has a lot of stars so what we discribe as stars might be our second line forward. We might be splitting hairs here. I personally think Zajac is a star. I am hoping his brother is half as good as he is.

I don't know sounds as if this kid is ready to play next season. He may need to put some weight on but word is that he is the real deal.

But remember these games didn't matter, that they were already in the tourney and didn't need to expell any engergy in the Saturday game. So losing to UofW didnt' matter because the game didn't matter, and losing to UND the year before didn't matter. I am detecting flawed logic. Funny.

Many of us have watched the Devils aka the debbies play this season, they have played good in stretches, but without going to the AHL and gaining seasoning who is Zajac going to over take in the Devils Line up? They aren't what I call a crappy team.

Seriously, if you have watched Michigan lately you will see that they have senior goalie that hasn't ever played in the NCAA tourney. I think UND can feed of that and stuff a bunch of goals.

Well that is fine, it will be another sport(s) that UND is better than NDSU.

I suppose they do down in Waterlow Iowa, or some god awful place south of here. In my opinion Division 1 AA football is nothing more than an over glorified Division two league.

Ok, I don't want to sound argumentive but where has it been said that Smaby is going to go for sure this season? I am not so sure about this one. Tampa's coach could get fired if they don't make the playoffs so I am not so sure he will be gone. All I am saying is lets not rush Smaby out of here. Granted he might go, but I am saying my prayers and crossing my fingers.

I guess this is what the Fighting Sioux get every year by recruiting top of the line forwards, the New York Post isn't really a credible paper as some, but it could be true. What ever. I hope he wants to play with his brother too.

Rumor has it that KFAN is at the Long Haul on Friday again for the PA and Dubay show. If true worth the trip, the breakfast is good there.
