I remember the sweep when the Sioux played the Goofers in the REA and Vanek had been checked by Prpich the whole series and I do remember him banging his stick on the ice in frustration because Vanek was generating no offense at all. I also do remember him getting frustrated and taking stupid penatlies from time to time.

I didn't have any problem with the cupping the ear, the fans were giving him crap and PK just happened to give it back to them.

Not being happy here is home sick, not happy, miss my girl friend, not happy. I am not sure how I can spell it out any more. Slovakia I am sure is a lot different that North Dakota. I know The East coast is different that living on the plains in North Dakota. I spent 26 months in Germany and then moved to Massachussetts (sp) its different. I have played sports if someone leaves a team you don't fold your tent and quit, nor will the UND players. Spirko loss while does cause a void doesn't mean someone can't step up or that two players step up. I think the biggest loss on the team is Zajac for his play at both ends and Smaby because of the intimidation factor that he had when he was on the ice, they were both role players that may be hard to fill.

I am just saying UND will be fine. I do have a clue because a buddy of mine studies with a player and this is what he told him.

Word around town is that Sparky didn't like it here. I am just saying if he doesn't want to be here so be it. As far as UND not having any experience as been the par for the course.

I always wonder why some of you guys from Twin Cities (MPLS and surrounding towns) came up here if all you were going to be is miserable? As for Zajac, Smaby and Stafford, they took the money and ran, no one can blame them, I sure as heck never will. Heck, If someone told me that I could have a job and make 350,000 to 900,000 in the form of a signing bonus and make at least 75,000.00 a year the next season I could have some of that bitg money right now, I would be gone, no looking back no second thoughts. I wouldn't even bother to write a two week notice. There would be a vapor trail in my wake.

Actually if compare and contrast Toews and Kessel it would appear that Toews is quite a bit more polished and better spoken of the two players.

Anyone else bored with Kessel, did everyone see his last quote, not his dream to play college hockey, but it is his dream to play with the NHL. I supppose T-Don is happy with that one. I saw Cinderella at Monsters of rock in Germany and they opened or AC/DC for a concert that I saw in the Boston Garden and they were pretty good. Not much to look at but kicked A$$ music wise.

I think Sica has the right level of thinking, so even if Toews isn't here, why not have some confidence in Duncan, Kozek and Watkins these guys aren't bad. Also, I think Rylan Kaip is going to turn it on this season and Fabian should be a force for this next season. I don't know I am not going to sell the boys short before the puck even drops. Some of the new kids look pretty good on paper too. Fourney could prove to be pretty good as well as Vanderveld.

The word dimonds in the rough would probably apply, you would have to hope that Oshie can carry the whole team and one of the sophs comes through really good and the defense remains really rock solid.

So basically it sounds like he is a speed demon like Duncan and Miller. Should be good then to have a couple of speed guys to keep the opposition on their heals.

I think its telling if UND is so bad go to school somewhere else. Look deeper into this and some of these people whole life mission is to see UND change their name and logo. My question is, ok what if UND loses the battle in court, eventually I suppose we will change the name. Then what are these people going to complain about, what is going to be their next mission? It will never end.
