  1. Alex Heinert is doing NCHC PxP for CBS Sports Network for a reason. He's by far the best PxP in the NCHC, hands down. I can't think of another PxP person on NCHC.TV that's better. Surely not the crew that did the substandard broadcast from Omaha. I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting picked up by a bigger network, ie, doing other CBS Sports events or for another network. He can call football, hockey and basketball. We don't have anyone better in our area. He'd blow Sweeny or Hammer out of the water. If you watch the NHL or other hockey games on a regular basis they all do this. Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley in Boston, the Wild Announcers Anthony LaPanta and whoever is in the booth with him. Just to name a few. I'd be careful what you ask for.
  2. I think 11 or 12 is better. I'd survey the other folks first. I am flexible.
  3. Personally, I don't think Bubba is going to go anywhere until the high dollar donors start demanding a change in the status quo. It's obvious, the school is okay with the football team being competitive. Code word for mediocre. Personally, as an Alum, I am tired of losing to SDSU and NDSU in football. I want to see UND play for an NCAA title in Frisco. Moreover, I am also tired of the basketball teams not challenging for a conference title in the Summit Conference. It is what it is.
  4. Rudolph was an assistant coach at Upper Iowa when I was there in 1990. He was the offensive coordinator. I always thought he was a nice guy. Maybe division I wasn't a good fit for him.
  5. I can't believe it's been almost three years since Tim went to heaven. I still find myself looking him at the Ralph. I'd talk to him either before the game or see him between the first and second period. He used to talk with his friends in the upper deck near the stairwell to the press box. I'll try to be there.
  6. That's why the review took so long. You can't put the puck in the net off a glove. Doesn't matter if it intentional or not.
  7. There wasn't any official word, so, I guess I don't know. Maybe.
  8. I'll drop this here. It was the right call, you can't hit the puck into the net with your glove.
  9. Dude, this is supposed to be a civil conversation. I am not sure I'd classify Costantini as playing a minor role. He's sixth on the team in scoring (7g-13--20pts).
  10. Ford has the Flu.
  11. I think as a program we have to get over the mindset that we expect to lose at SIU, and Northern Arizona. There's no reason we can't expect to win those games. I saw the extension as the administration is cool with the status quo. That's UND being mediocre or above average in football. I agree that Phase two needs to be finished.
  12. Based on that schedule, I'd expect a 4-1 or 3-2 start. I supposed a 2-3 start is realistic.
  13. OMAHA, Nebraska — A UND hockey fan is in jail in Nebraska after allegedly assaulting another man at a college hockey game late last week. Tyrese Murph, 22, allegedly got into a “verbal altercation” with Stephen Thomas, 60, in the stands at a March 4 game between the Fighting Hawks and the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks, according to staff at the UNO police department. Police claim Murph pushed Thomas down a set of about 20 stairs at the arena, causing a large head wound. Murph is currently in custody at Douglas County, Nebraska, jail, according to its inmate roster.
  14. Nope, he was still in a leg brace.
  15. UND fan charged with assault after 'altercation' at Omaha hockey game
  16. I wouldn't give him any recognition. He's 100% responsible for his actions. With that said, I am also tired of UND fans being blamed for the antics and crimes a small number of offenders. We all know that fanbases have their share of bad apples. I've sat next to bad fans from Wisconsin, Minnesota, UMD, SCSU and by UND fans that behave badly. I a sure that Omaha has their share of bad apples, too.
  17. Does anyone know who the offender is?
  18. They ended up with a head wound that had to be sewed up. I think I read that it took three hours to stitch up.
  19. The NCHC officials. The call on Jackson Kunz was horrendous and led to UND giving up a two-goal lead. They ran out of gas.
  20. The fact he was assessed a five-minute major penalty for that hit was a travesty.
