The Buckeyes are pretty good in football. Hockey at some B1G schools has become an afterthought. It's all about football and basketball.

This is why I laughed when I heard some say that the Big Ten was going to crush the college hockey world with the TV deal and their team's name recognition. In retrospect, that's very funny. We keep hearing how ASU would be better served by being in the B1G. I don't see how. I think that the NCHC would be a better option. OSU games are even more poorly attended.

I think the only reason Sundogs has made it this far is because of the noise B.R.I.D.G.E.S. made during late 1990's and early 2000's. I think someone on the nickname committee was keen on this horrible nickname choice.

He's very good, not doubt. However, we can't discount what Brad Berry has done recruiting wise, since coming back to the team.

I don't think anyone should consider them one. I've seen other teams fans refer to them as a doormat and then go out and get beat by them. I still snicker when I think about them beating UNO in their own barn in the WCHA playoffs a few years back.

It's very hard to hate on Bemidji. I am not sure why some hate them. Ala, UNO and UMD fans. I graduated high school from Bemidji, MN and played football with the late George Pelawa. I also went to college there for two years, it was absolute blast. I have very fond memories of BSU and Bemidji. I watched them win a Division II hockey title. I have a BSU Beaver tattooed to my right calf. Sat on the bench for a season in football. Loved my time there, would love to move back, someday. I was a roommate with the guy that will do the TV for BSU on Friday night.

Okay, ."Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable!" Funny story: I went to the Galen Nagle Memorial golf tournament this summer and was wearing UND hockey hat when I entered the registration area. BSU head coach Tom Serratore busted me for wearing a UND hat to a Beaver Hockey fundraiser. He said, "Goon you can't wear that hat here." I ended up with a free Beaver Hockey Hat.
