The next time that Wolff is assessed a game misconduct, he will get suspended for a game. Dixon Ward has the same issue, he's sitting at two game misconducts. Rule 22 - Game Misconduct Penalties 22.1 Game Misconduct Penalty - A game misconduct penalty involves the suspension of a player, coach or other non-playing persons for the balance of the game; however, a substitute is permitted to replace a player immediately. The offending player, coach or non-playing persons must leave the bench and playing surface immediately and may not communicate with or contact team personnel in any manner until the game is completed. Any contact with game officials is prohibited. Medical personnel cannot be assessed a game misconduct penalty. A player who is assessed a game misconduct penalty is suspended for the remainder of that game only. The player shall be allowed to play in the team’s next scheduled game. 22.2 Suspensions - A player who receives three (3) game misconduct penalties in the same season (including exhibition games) shall not be permitted to play in the team’s next regular-season or tournament game against an NCAA member institution. For each additional game misconduct penalty (e.g. four, five, etc.) assessed to the same player in the same season, the player shall be suspended for one (1) additional game. This shall not be part of a progressive penalty structure. Exhibition games cannot be used to fulfill the suspension for this violation.

Puck wide left, the story of their season.

I am going to agree with @stoneySIOUX I didn't think that DU was the better team. At no time was UND in danger of losing this game. I thought it was a good win by UND tonight. With Nick Jones in the lineup, UND has won six games in a row. Without Jones, UND was 3-4.

I keep seeing these wide-eyed scenarios posted, and not one of them have an iota of a chance of coming true. Besides, there's no reason or benefit for UND or most of the BSC, Missouri Valley Teams making the jump to FBS football. Most of those schools couldn't afford it. I remember some of the BSC schools complaining about the travel to UND when they first joined the BSC. NDSU is probably the only school that probably fits this bill. At least the guy from Minnesota, Greg Flugaur's predictions come true once in a while. I am not trying to be an A-hole, but what's the fixation with the FBS? UND needs to dominate at the FCS level before a jump would even make sense. That's not happening right now. The only way I see it happening is if there was another level of Division I football created. I haven't seen a groundswell of support for that, just yet.

My specific blog site didn't go into that. Like I said, where's the link? So we can peruse it. Predigestwd isn't even a word.
-
Do you have any actual media person on record with this pontification?
-
I was waiting for someone to ask Berry about this.
-
You don't have to be an ass. Sorry, I miss read what he posted, but since you want to be a keyboard warrior, by all means, have at it. I forgot to add, Berry, didn't give any other updates on any of the other injured players.
-
Berry didn't say much other than he was skating this week and day-to-day. He also didn't rule Jones out.

Cup checks are a staple of the DU series. What's even more entertaining is the Urban Dictionary has this beauty. cup check 1. The procedure used to verify the appropriate installation of protective atheletic gear for the groin commonly known as a "cup". The procedure may include using whatever sports equipment to administer the check in a rapid swinging motion.

I read it too and told the author it wasn't funny. I miss the old blog posts from Damien Goddard, now that guy was funny.

I was impressed with that kid when I watched him play last December. He seems to be a very fast, skilled player with good offensive imagination. His season-ending injury sucks.
-
Hey, @MafiaMan there's medication for that.
-
Let's not let facts get in the way of a good argument.
-
It was NCHC.TV so I don't.

My take on the cup check by Kawaguchi, it wasn't that bad of a spear and the Bulldogs players sold it well. What a bunch of divers. Yes, it was a spear. Yes it's was a dumb, an unnecessary play. I know we all hate whataboutisms, but Wolff did the same damn thing in front of the UMD net. This play happens a lot every week in hockey.
-
The Bulldog fans think the refs screwed them last night.
-
Ciskie doesn't drink. He told me that one time in passing.
-
That just came to mind.
-
The more I look at that, the funnier that is. You just dated yourself. I can hear @MafiaMan laughing too.

I think UND was in his head. During last night's game, Wolff was jawing pretty hard with Rieger in the penalty box and I thought it was funny. I think he's kind of a hot head, too. So, that defenseman playing first game of the season at forward ended up being pretty useful. I actually think that Rieger does a pretty good job as a fourth-line forward.

Wolff has one more game misconduct and he's suspended for one game.
