I think UND was in his head. During last night's game, Wolff was jawing pretty hard with Rieger in the penalty box and I thought it was funny. I think he's kind of a hot head, too. So, that defenseman playing first game of the season at forward ended up being pretty useful. I actually think that Rieger does a pretty good job as a fourth-line forward.

Wolff has one more game misconduct and he's suspended for one game.

I read that, too. He was out with an injury. UMD is a program that oozes arrogance right now. Yes, they're a good program, but they're not world beaters. Listening to Sandy's post-game comments, he was complaining about the officiating and that was a factor why his team lost. It could have been a tie without all of the PIMs.

They're ranked 35th Nationally.

Or UND was missing forwards Jones, Adams, JJ and after one Kawaguchi. That's a lot of bodies not in the lineup.

No credit what-so-ever to the victors. You were outplayed by a depleted UND team. The refs cost the Bulldogs the game. Wolfe acted like a knucklehead both games. We have a new player Cole Shaw.

With Guch getting tossed tonight, UND was down like three or four of their top players. I'll take it. The remaining players were the not so prolific players we were discussing last night. I thought it was a character win this weekend.

Silver lining alert -- UND has won 2 of the last 3 games against UMD.

@Godsmack The Duluth TV guy Tweeted about the youth team that was on the ice before the game, and he said it was the UND hockey team for their morning skate. Apparently, he deleted the tweet, but word got back to the team.

They UMD homers are expecting power plays for the dogs in the third period. I guess they must have lobbied the NCHC supervisor in the press box or something.

Or there may be little if any. Sometimes, the two teams just settle down and play hockey.

Berry isn't the only one. Most coaches say the same thing. We didn't play a complete 60-minute game. Many passengers. Need to clean up zone entry. Play a 200-foot game. Do you want Schloss to go full Brooksie on coach Berry?
