That would be a great idea but apparently the NCAA is thinking about limiting the NCAA games to 35. It could take effect in 2006-2007. Apparently the ECAC is crying again because they can't keep up with the big teams.

Nope disagree according to WPOS we are going to have a bunch of 28 year old canadians again. Fine as long as we win, I don't care if they are purple or green martions. I think people are dreaming if they think UND is going to stumble just because we have a new coach. UND will be fine. If I was a gopher fan I would be worried that my team with or without Vanek, because there is a good chance they are going to suck. Horrible goaltending, suspect defense (Jake Taylor is not it) and no offense. If I am not mistaken Hak did a lot of the recruiting for the players we already have.

Hum, thats interesting. Well written article too. I was kind of hoping that we go out side and see how the cards turn up. Funny Sandelin isn't taking himself out of the running to.

No offense PCM but Brandt has won one game that he shouldn't have in past three years of that I can remember. That is 40 plus games. And that one game was at Duluth last season. Brandt had his chance and he lost the big game the Excel center last season, he stunk horribly. It isn't any concidence that Jordan got the nod in the NCAA's. Any time your team scores 4 goales you should win, especially if the name on the front of the Jersey is UND. Over the past three season Brandt has played ho hum good enough to win. But not anything that I would consider to be great. Hence he is not fit to carry Karl G's jock... That being said. Last season Brandt was above average at best. Personally as a UND fan I am ready to move on and see what Lammy and Jordan can do for us. However, some seem to think we owe Brandt something so-be it. If I would have been the coach, he would have been gone after the pull tab incident. One option UND should consider is red-shirting Ziggy next season. Because If it came down to Brandt and Ziggy I would rather see Ziggy stay his next three years than have him cut to keep Brandt. Because if Lammy is the stud that everyone says he is, his time is now then and not the season after.

Your clouding the issue with facts PCM. Actually just for thought provoking thought. Toby K had one of the records for most periods/minutes in a career. Does that make him him one of the top players in UND history hardly. Are you saying Brandt is as good as Belfore, Karl G, Casey, Jensen. Brandt is proably not fit to carry their jocks.

I wonder if Hak will keep with the mindset that Blaiser had, when a caller called into the coaches show and a caller ask Dean if they planned on redshirting Lammy and Blais said that he planned on him playing right out of the gate. From what I gather is that Hak won't change a lot from Dean's days as coach. Apparently Hak is just as intense as Blais. If true I hope things stay the same.

Honestly where in the roatation would Marc had played last season? I can't fault Blais for that one.

Wart Hog, if you heard Zach on his way out he refered to his brother as the starter or something along that line of thinking. I think Brandt should be the one that is worried, maybe Ziggy, but Jpar will be here. If your so confident I will bet you some beer or something on a side bet, or others that are crazy enough to think that Jordon is now all of a sudden gone just because Zack is.

Your poll you got should be worded favorite player from the last season. There are many more players that are better than half on that list. Mike P isn't even in my top thirty favorite players players. I would have to say some of my favorite players were: Justin Duberman, Landon Wilson, Greg Johnson, Zach Parise, Jason Blake, Curtis Murphy, Nick Naminko, Brandon Bochenski, The Panzer Divison, Karl G. etc...

The good news is that for the first time since UND moved into the REA only one weekend in October (Gophers Series the weekend of the 23rd of October) will conflict with Duck season and pheasant hunting. So I am really excited. Also my new yellow lab puppy will be ready to go as he is off being finished as we speak.

Hey Troll, I doubt Parise is going to be the next out, one reason being he was our best goal tender at the end of the season. I suppose your one of those people tha assume that JP is only here because of his younger brother. Blah, blah, blah... Sure Layne played ok at BSU, however, BSU in in the CHA with isn't half as good as the WCHA. Most CHA teams aren't even as good as UAA or MTU.

Have you notice that. For a guy thats not moving he sure hasn't take himself out of the mix. So which makes me think he might be interested.

I would bet its safe to assume that Wheeler would probably play in college for a couple of years. It ussaully takes longer for defensemen to develop to a level where they can play in the NHL. Good for the Great one in suggesting they not rush a kid into the next level. Its getting tiresome watching all of these great college players leave college early for the the NHL only to get stuck in the minors.

Thats why I think Sandelin is going to be on the short list. I would like to be a fly on the wall when this discussion comes up. Honestly I don't care what Bruce Ciske and crew (the UMD rubes) say about Sandelin staying at UMD and not wanting to go to UND. Please, UND is a major step up from Duluth as far as prestige and history go. They are kidding their selves if they think Scott isn't thinking about coaching at UND. I remember when UofM came calling Blais. I would be willing to Bet Blaiser thought about it.
