I wait with anticipation. I would like to hear some good news this season, hopefully no one else leaving and hockey season leading to an NCAA title.
  2. The Sens site has nothing about Bucks signing with them. I suppose there must be something in the works but there is nothing on their home page as of yet.

You need to have three goalies to practice or if you have a goalie that gets hurt. I think UND should go after the swede that loved Grand Forks so much, he, he, he. Now I personally think UND need to go after a front line goalie next year one on par with the ability of a Al Montoya from Michigan. I think Blaiser handling of the goalies hurt us as far as landing one of them. I am pretty sure that Brandt isn't on the same level as an Al Montoya. Nor would I consider Brandt a goalie in the top teir of the NCAA. Maybe Parise and Phil are they still have room to grow. As for this season, If I as Hack I would hand Brandt the Clip board show him his place on the bench and say "son thanks for the last three years when we needed you. However, the future is now take a seat, If I need you I will call you."
  4. I suppose we will get something on this soon eh?

Actually if Schmitty says its true I would respect his opinion more than some of the others that said Ziggy is not coming back. Just a hunch.
  6. I hope UND fans can get some closure soon before this drags on too long.
  7. Lets hope that is not the case. The point being said, Bucks can help this team win a WCHA and hopefully an NCAA title. I would have to think that Bocheski could also be a favorite to win the Hobey too.
  8. Tell me how that is selfish to entertain offers and decide maybe you don't want to go or its not what your looking for? People do it in the real world every day. The team will better off if Bochenski comes back then if they snub him to make a point.
  9. I am sorry but on its face this doesn't appear to be a very smart move. Its just not cool. Next question why wouldn't our coach want Buck's back. I would if I was the the coach, ALL HE DOES IS Score, ala Chris Carter, although I doubt he is a cancer like Carter was. It wouldn't take a genius to know that Bucks isnt gone, show where he has been signed by the Sens. Who is UND coach going to replace Bucks with? I doubt they can go up to Canada and sign a player as good as him. This could the first fatal mistake of Hack's career.
  10. Chris Fournier is going to have a tough time in life is he doesn't stop pouting and start working. I thouht good riddance the day he left UND. I do not feel any empathy for the little whinner. There are too many pre-maddonas in the work place today as it is.
  11. I think Bochenski will be back too. Ah shucks.
  12. If he leaves early we will probably see UND go after a player to take his place or have another recruit that graduated come a year early. I think the fact that he is not signed is the biggest factor, deal can't be that good. Look Bochenski is a 7th round draft choice he is not going to get a 1 million dollar bonus, those are for first round draft choices. Zach didn't even get a million dollars.
  13. Wilson at Dallas is one that comes to mind.
  14. Here is what everyone was talking about. I guess the Gophers lose another one. I honestly don't like seeing these kids signing early. No matter what team. I think Donny Lucia has a point. But that is what happens when you sign top players to play at top flight schools. I guess the Gophers aren't immune from it either. Gophers' Taylor signs pro contract with Rangers BY BRUCE BROTHERS Pioneer Press Sophomore Jake Taylor became the second defenseman to sign a pro contract and leave the University of Minnesota men's hockey team, putting the Gophers in a bit of a hole on defense this season. Taylor, 21, a native of Rochester, Minn., who played 39 games as a freshman at Minnesota, agreed to terms last week and Wednesday officially signed a three-year contract with the New York Rangers reportedly worth a minimum of $700,000 and including a bonus of $450,000. Earlier this summer, senior defenseman Keith Ballard signed a hefty contract with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. The Gophers also lost part-time defenseman Joey Martin, a senior last year, and junior defenseman P.J. Atherton is reportedly planning to take a redshirt year this season. Last summer, defenseman Paul Martin signed with the New Jersey Devils after his junior season. "We're disappointed that Jake has decided to move on to professional hockey," coach Don Lucia said. "Jake was a tremendous competitor and a first-class young man. Although I don't agree with his decision, I wish him nothing but the best." Taylor, a 6-foot-4, 220-pounder who had two goals and six assists for eight points last season, "is another of our organization's core of young talent," Rangers general manager Glen Sather said. "He is a defenseman who combines size and skill effectively to make him an impact player at both ends of the ice." Minnesota has three recruits signed to play defense as freshmen this season: Alex Goligoski of Grand Rapids, Minn., Nate Hagemo of Edina and Derek Peltier of Plymouth. The Gophers open their regular season against defending national champion Denver in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game Oct. 9 at the Xcel Energy Center. Briefly: Matt Koalska, a St. Paul native who was a senior forward for the Gophers last season, is reportedly in the process of completing a contract with the New York Islanders.
  15. I think you may be right. Because it seems if he was going ok, he might have been gone. Bo's not being gone isn't a bad thing I think. Also, Brandon is a 7th round draft choice, they aren't going to give him a hugh signing bonus. Not like they give 1st or 2nd rounders.
  16. Thats actually the guy I was refering to.
  17. From what I have read, it appears that Bo isn't gone yet.The suspense is killing me, I wish we as fans could get some closure on this so we could move on knowing wether he is going to be with UND or not. Reading between the lines it seems that Bo hasn't got the contract he was looking for as of yet, maybe he is postioning himself through the media. I wonder if he has signed up for classes just in case he doesn't get the contract that he was looking for.
  18. I am ready for the season to begin already. Anticipation is killing me. I guess the training is to start pretty soon. Must be dry land training they are talking about.
  19. It happened in Mpls too with the Gopher football program too. Yikes, that is apparently how they lost one of the top Minnesota recruits.
  20. I think Dagies is tracking here. He gets a chance to use the facilities, sit in the wirl pool, see the weight room, you know get to use the equipment for free, kind of a test drive. If I were some of the UND coaches and players I would be showing this kid a good time. I am not suggesting taking him to Shelly (Strip bar) or setting him up with one of the local girls and getting him drunk and stupid, I am suggesting having him experiece some of the UND mystic.
  21. I would like to see UND play with an edge and grit like Eades did. Mean, Tough and smart.
  22. We are going to be fine this year. INTENSE. Apparently Eades is a good recruiter. I think that is the key point.
  23. The stuff about Vanek being a cancer has been out there in the media for a while, however, no one wants to believe it. Must be something to it if it keeps coming up.
  24. Tim and Swig were pretty funny this morning, its sounds from their information they had that it would be Eades too. Apparently, Eades is just as intense as Berry and Hak and Tim talked about the Gorilla X3 coming out between periods if things didn't go right. I think it might be a good mix.
