As much as I wanted to have a no vote, it has been showed that those in North Dakota are ready to move on. I was ready before, but the ups and downs make this change even harder. Does any one know when we are changing over. Also I think ALL fans should be able to vote on the name. (ALL FANS ON THE SIOUX WEBSITE IN NORTH DAKOTA OR NOT) What will be done with the championship banners are they switching them so the do not show the sioux on them?

undbiz how much do you stand and cheer for the team. Do you have a wall covered in articles of sioux sports news. WINS and Losses? I do so don't say I do not care, or that I am drunk.My dream growing up was to go to UND where I grew up.

I grow up with the sioux. I even had a principle who's son was on the team in 2001. I only wish that what gave me hope when I was being bullied in school would live forever. No the university did nothing for me, but the mascot kept me alive.

We were going to go with rival schools before we got kicked out. I think we lost more when we continued to fight a few years back then we will now.

Life long fans who don't give up shoud have a right not those who are willing to give up the states history. The university was known for the Sioux no more. It will mean nothing without it. I see the recuiting class growing when the meaning of the recuites goes down.

Those who voted yes should have no say in the new mascot.

Love the sioux. I have a bad feeling about this. I hope we as fans get to choose the new mascot in 100 years until then be north dakota and no more.

I agree. The Sioux has served us well, and I am will be proud to say I live for UND sports no mater what. May the people of North Dakota live with honor for the Sioux forever no mater what!

I would really like to see und get out the big sky and get a second shot with ndsu/south dakota confrence with the loss of the sioux.

Heading into the bigsky what would be considered a good season. What team would you enjoy seeing a win against the most if you had the choice.

People on here keep bringing up articles and ideas that the Sioux need to go. My question to you is why. Most fans go to high school games not because their team plays the best in the state every week, but because they love their team in general. In the same idea don't you think we would be happier seeing the Sioux on the jerseys and cheering go Sioux more then what teams we play. I for one love calling out and the home of the Sioux at every event no mater where it is at with or with out Sioux sports present.Is money really that important?

Most athlets do not live for the sioux. Most would play for someone else if they did not get a spot in grand forks. Most sioux fans are fans for life for or against the continuation of thename. Let the people vote.

Hey Jodcon, thank you for GIVING YOUR THOUGHT to my question. I always injoy hearing what fans from different colleges think. Having an internship with a wyoming radio station makes me what to know everything about every team.

How will the exspellment effect the team do they have a good back up qb?

We have always fought for the nickel in the past, and I think that in order to renew that rival from the past it is only right to continue the rival coin. The native face may not represent our mascot much longer, but it will show what the rival has been. Just as visable as the nickel was the free subs that each town sponsered to the winning team. I think growing up I really got into the games because of the subs and the nickel. I did not know anyone from eithter school.

The peice should not be kept from the bison for ever because it is retired. I think we should make a second one and give it to NDSU OR GIVE THE ONE HELD BY THE SIOUX TO MUSEUM
