There has been alot of talk about rival games disapearing. My question is were are they now? We have Basketball starting up; however, the sioux are not playing minn in the near future south dakota is swiching to a totally different confrence and NDSU/UND football is no where in site. I say Play rival games as the sioux and start back the transition. Any more bumps will only make it harder.Do not say Montana can be our new rival befcause it will not happon. It will take years to get it to the same level as UND/ NDSU, UND/ MINN., AND UND/SOUTH DAKOTA.

Montana really. They play Montana state not North Dakota. Let us play our rivals and play for our great coaches Lennon and Robuck and then and only then take the name. We are North Dakota not NCAA slaves.

It is time? No way When I hear that Lennon and Robuck are back then maybe. I would say vivals for name; however, we are loosing a life dedicated coach and rivals. Minn is no were in site for hockey, South Dakot is moving to a new confrence, and knowing NDSU AND UND; its basketball rival is likely to fall. Football not going to happon. Why give in when we have lost so much as a athletic group alread? Give me the sioux coaches and rival games in which we continue to wear sioux jersey and take the name away.Oh and by the way the Hockey Arenea stays as it is!

I think we should move on as long as there is a agrement to play NDSU, South Dakota and Minn. long term. Iduring the games we play them The sioux jerseys come out and the sioux become the historical way of life if only once or twice each year for sport season.

Wow, It is really sad thaving heard Hakstal say what he said. He was the last person other then Robuck and Dean Blaise who I would have thought to hear that from. If only the deans would respond one way or the other. To tell you the trueth I like being called North Dakota. The Sioux banners/ pictures and sioux logo should always be hung in memory; however, it may... I can not believe I am saying this, but maybe it is time to move on. I wish with all my heart in to years when I transfer to UND the sioux in spirit will still live.

Anything would be nice if we got the sioux. I loved the division two days oer our division one days anyway.

I have grown up a football and basketball fan and I too want the sioux to be born again.

If the sioux are restored tomorrow will the transitions away fromt the sioux be redone to the Sioux? For example Sioux sports highlights Sioux kids club and Sioux sports network. Also are sioux items going to be sold more in sports stores around the country again?

I can't believe alot of you are ready to let a tradition like this move on. I would much rather see the school return to division 2 then to see the state give up on the name.

Why not see about using something from the base. They do a lot to support the school. I think it would be great if we could get permission to use a plane name or airman.

Why not call us the fs of North Dakota?

The whole gate is covered by the sioux image. That would mean it would all have to be redone right?

I love the shop in the Hockey arena. Will that be taken down because of the name change? How will they change it?

Just think how many votes we could get if every person in North Dakota voted one time and once every day. We need to put commercials up this weekend during home hockey games and basketball games.
