I told a FU fan on Facebook a few weeks ago that he will rue the day Eric Schmidt was hired to run UND's program. Despite what happened on Saturday, I still believe that.

Good points. I think Fruechte needs to move on and I think Schmidt needs to tap into his list of contacts he has made during his coaching career to find somebody else to run the offense. Fruechte was a holdover from the previous staff and it may make sense to bring in one of Schmidt's guys who knows what he wants out of the offense.

I have said it before and I will say it again: I would rather walk barefoot on molten glass than cheer for NDSU in any sport. The only exception to one of our fans supporting FU is if one of their kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews are playing for one of their teams. Other than that, it is pure treason.

Fruechte needs to embrace the K.I.S.S. principle on offense. If the running game is working, stick with it. No trick plays when you don't need them. Don't put your QB in difficult situations where he has to do everything himself. We might have at least 2 more victories this season if Fruechte had taken that approach.

We had some close losses during that time as well. 1993 was our breakout year.

Do you think we hold NDSU to 15 points under last year's regime? We would have given up three to four TDs at minimum. It would have been pitch and catch down the middle of the field all game long, with a few long QB runs thrown in for good measure. This is NOT Bubba Ball. I do think Schmidt made a mistake retaining Fruechte and I think a change is needed there. But I still have faith in Schmidt and what he is trying to build here.

I think Schmidt is aiming a little higher than (Bill) Murray State. And while CFB isn't the NFL, it ain't high school either. We need a change in offensive coordinator.

UND hits the road to play winless (Bill) Murray State. The backups had better be in the game by the second half. UND will take out their frustrations of the past two weeks on the hapless Racers. UND wins 45-14

Anyone who wants to give up on the season is welcome to. I'm not. We'll probably roll over (Bill) Murray State and then the season will be on the line at home vs. SDSU. We had better not have only 5 or 6 thousand there. The team will need our support more than ever.

This has been an issue all season.

I think Schmidt needs to consider making a change at offensive coordinator at the end of this season (short of us going on a magical playoff run). Too many of his play calls don't make sense and I am running out of patience. 😡

I really wish they would simplify this crap. Go to 4x4 OT for 10 minutes for regular season games. If it's still tied, then that's what we put in the record books. Playoffs would remain the same as always (play until there is a winner).
