If we keep extending coaches to keep them from coaching in a lame duck year, they will basically have a lifetime contract. That is insane and completely unacceptable. Chaves needs to go. I am tired of his bull$h!t excuses for extending coaches who have poor track records. We moved up to Division 1 over 15 years ago. But Chaves serves on all those important committees! And Chaves brought us those all important Alston Awards! (sarcasm) I am sick of being the laughingstock of the Dakotas. I am especially sick of being told there is nothing that can be done about it. Time for Armacost to shake things up.

All I can find is the extension he got two years ago through the end of next year (2025-2026).
