Big home sweep of Denver last weekend. A bye week coming up next weekend. And in between, a road series vs. a team with one NCHC win. That is the very definition of a trap weekend.

Which is why the Hobey has become an afterthought to me. Players would trade the Hobey for a Natty in a heartbeat. I am happy about Hrkac and Duncan winning it, but I have seen too much chicanery over the years to ever get excited about it.

After a beautiful home sweep of Denver, the boys hit the road to Oxford, OH to play the Redhawks with another 6 NCHC points at stake. I think this is one road series we need to sweep, as we have several teams nipping at our heels. Here's to a conference road sweep and Schlossman enjoying himself as much as possible.

The funny thing is, we split with Miami at home and swept them in Oxford last year.
