  1. Yes, because you are being a Grade A Certified Toolbox! Either contribute something useful to the discussion or shut up!
  2. Lock it down. Time to focus on the future.
  3. This will be Faison's second really important task as Athletic Director so far (the first was getting us into the Big Sky Conference). I like that a national search will begin immediately; that is what I was hoping for.
  4. I definitely understand your frustrations with the FB program; I have been very vocal about the need for a change.
  5. I share your viewpoint, a change was needed. However, don't forget that this will be hard on the families of the coaches that are losing their jobs. Let us also wish them well in their future endeavors. I certainly hope they land on their feet.
  6. Yes.....a good first move. Now the real work begins; finding the right person to move the program forward. We must get it right the first time.
  7. Two things can cover up a lot of flaws: a franchise QB and a ferocious pass rush. That is the quickest way the Vikings can turn the team around.
  8. He couldn't do a worse job than Ponder.
  9. I am guessing he has said it more than once; it just wasn't reported more than once.
  10. Whatever happens, Faison is going to have to address this situation. He can't just keep saying "No Comment" forever. It isn't going to go away.
  11. Don't forget Tom Miller said something about it on a live chat last week. I don't think he would have done that if there wasn't something to it.
  12. My point is the press conference (if Faison has decided to make a change) probably wouldn't happen until this afternoon.
  13. I said that on Facebook this morning!
  14. It's possible that one or both of them (Faison and Mussman) had previous engagements scheduled for this morning (they are busy people) and couldn't get out of them. Let's not jump to conclusions until we hear something definitive from Faison.
  15. The fact that the FB tweets are focusing on Weston Dressler's exploits in the CFL is proof that they are avoiding the 800 pound elephant in the room. And I cannot blame them.
  16. Yup. No way you can put enough lipstick on that pig to make it look good.
  17. Well Mr. Faison, you are now on the clock. Do you have the nerve to cut Mussman loose?

  18. This guy is one of the worst college hockey hate merchants on the internet.
  19. Good point. I guess I am at the point where I ignore 2/3rds of gfhockey's posts. You can't understand half of them anyway.
  20. You know that I am not on the "Fire Hakstol" bandwagon. But it is fair to point out what is wrong with the team right now. And that is all we are doing.
  21. I would also chalk it up to lack of puck possession. Our goaltenders are up and down, but they aren't terrible. Sometimes we just look like we are chasing our own tails around the ice trying to find and get possession of the puck.
  22. As long as he isn't our problem anymore.
  23. I was thinking that was one of the talking points used by the coaches to explain what he was doing on the roster? The fact that I don't remember him that well proves what a bust he was.
  24. The QB position is more about intelligence, instincts, heart and leadership and less about metrics. Joe Montana didn't have the greatest arm strength in the world. I was ticked off when the Vikings didn't take a chance on Boise State QB Kellen Moore a couple of years ago. He's now Stafford's backup in Detroit. And of course at UND, you had Joey "McNabb" Bradley with his blond hair and strong arm do jack squat for us. Screw metrics, screw the tale of the tape; I want intelligence, instincts, heart and leadership in my QB.
  25. Yep, that's him. He and I picked out our seats in 106 all the way back in 2001 when we were transitioning to REA and the Alerus Center.
