  1. Yes, I am sure he does. But that won't stop him from giving into the temptation of giving up way too much for a player that he falls in love with. AP seems to be his latest love interest. If the opportunity presents itself, I hope Spielman and Wilf take Jones to the cleaners and suck as many players and draft picks out of that organization as they can. My least favorite team is the Packers by a mile, but the Cowgirls easily rank in the top five of my NFL "Axis of Evil" list.
  2. Romo isn't a top-notch QB in the NFL; he's good but not great. But it's Jones that signs the checks. It's Jones that plays GM when he has no business playing GM. It's Jones that meddles way too much; if he didn't meddle as much as he does Jimmy Johnson wouldn't have quit after back-to-back Super Bowl titles and they probably would have won 4 or 5 straight titles (no kidding, they were really stacked in the early to mid 90's). The Cowgirls could have Joe Montana or John Elway in their primes and they still wouldn't win a championship because of Jerry Jones and his constant meddling in personnel decisions, which should be made by somebody that understands personnel better. Same with the Redskins (sorry PC zealots, I will not call them "The Washington Team" or whatever other nonsense you come up with) and Daniel Snyder. And one more thing, you cannot blame Romo for that sorry excuse of a defense that the Cowgirls have (again) this year. And that goes back to Jerry Jones playing GM and making poor draft choices and poor free agent signings. The fancy stadium can't fix those problems.
  3. The Cowgirls will remain a joke as long as Jerry Jones is the owner of the franchise. I might be alone in this thinking, but I think the Vikings trading AP to the Cowgirls is not as crazy of an idea as it looks on the surface. If there is one owner in the NFL that can be hoodwinked into giving up too much for one player, it's Jerry Jones (with Daniel Snyder a solid second). Ziggy Wilf could wipe the bad taste of the Hershel Walker Trade out of the mouths of Vikings fans and fleece the Cowgirls at the same time.
  4. Sorry Goon, but I am not jumping on the "state pride" bandwagon. This does nothing for anybody but NDSU and Fargo (as if Fargo doesn't have a big enough head as it is). Don't think for one second that if the roles were reversed FU fans would give us the same props you just did. They would come up with all sorts of reasons why it doesn't matter or why it shouldn't be happening or.....well, you get the idea. All this does is make UND look more irrelevant than it already looks (please note that I said look; perception is oftentimes just as important as reality) and makes our job of cleaning up the FB program harder than it already is. Screw FU and screw Fargo. End Rant.
  5. Vikings win Mike Zimmer's NFL Head Coaching debut 34-7 over the Rams. Nice to see a Vikings defense score a TD again, it feels like the last time it happened was about 100 years ago. Nice game by Cordelle Patterson. AP had some tough sledding against that Rams D-Line, but still managed 75 yards. Now if the Lions lose to the Giants on Monday night, the Vikings will be in first place in the NFC North. Skol Vikings!!!
  6. I know, that's about 12 under your average!
  7. I agree with all of this, but Jer Garmin has to take a seat and let someone else carry the ball. He just isn't getting it done.
  8. The only thing that would make this even worse is if ESPN gives FU a TV deal on one of their networks. And anyone who thinks what FU does is of no concern of ours, think again. Exposure like this is priceless for recruiting, fundraising and so on. Like I have said before, UND is becoming "...that other school in North Dakota". Hiring Bubba to clean up the mess that is FB will hopefully change that.
  9. Ah yes, The Weather Underground. Lots of good material on there.
  10. If we started a siouxsports.com Hall of Fame, the Triouxper should be the first poster in. I really wish I had gotten to know him better than I did. RIP my friend.
  11. They might have to shut it down and rebuild it from scratch!

  13. I just checked, he is NOT banned. You are probably thinking of watchmaker or whatever else he called himself on here.
  14. For my money, Jheria is a lot worse.
  15. So what is your solution? I joked about lowering the age to 14 or 15, but I think some people on here would be all for that. I could support lowering it to 18 (that is considered the age of adulthood for a lot of things), but that is as far as I would go. I don't like the police using 95% of their on-duty hours tracking down and busting underage drinkers, but we also shouldn't treat it as just another "rite of passage" or "kids just sowing their wild oats" or whatever other excuses people make for looking the other way. Lower the age to 18 and then enforce it consistently and judiciously. I believe that is about the best we can do as a society.
  16. Hey, could you share with us what this guy said?! I am curious.
  17. I want a new identity in place in time for the 2015-16 school year and I absolutely did not want to remove the Fighting Sioux name and logo. Nice try, please play again.
  18. I do think it is hard to quantify something that is as qualitative as college football recruiting. Having said that, there has to be some truth to these rankings or else these websites/blogs/newsletters wouldn't be in business.
  19. Do I need to book a Steel Cage Match between you and MafiaMan? I'll referee it.
  20. The culture is different in Germany. Kids are introduced to alcohol at family meals and are taught to consume it responsibly. In this country, it's treated as a forbidden fruit and thus kids want to drink it because they aren't supposed to.
  21. Then what is your theory on looking like world beaters on Friday night and looking like garbage on Saturday night? It happens way too often to not be tied to something.
  22. And that would be insane. If we do something that, we might as well serve it at lunch in HS. And, for the record, the means I was kidding.
  23. If you gave the states free reign over this, Wisconsin would probably lower their drinking age to 14 or 15.
  24. You, my friend, need to work on your "biting" sarcasm.
  25. And you, JohnboyND7, are the most annoying poster on this forum.
