UND (9-3, 14-8) vs Idaho (8-4, 13-10) 2/11 4 PM
fightingsioux4life replied to SWSiouxMN's topic in Men's Basketball
Yuck, I hope not. -
That would be better than nothing. A win and a loss on the road to a solid WMU team wouldn't hurt us in the PWR much.

2016 - 2017 NHL Season
fightingsioux4life replied to siouxforcefans's topic in Non-collegiate sports
I agree with you. But some people will insist that it's "just part of the game". -
Big difference between driving 300 miles to Minneapolis and dropping a big wad of money on hotel and game tickets vs. getting off the couch on Saturday to watch Bubba and the boys at the Alerus Center. Your original comment sounded like a subtle shot at those of us who are not going this year. I asked a simple question. All I wanted was a simple response. Alas, I did not get it.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)
fightingsioux4life replied to Cratter's topic in Community
Let me guess, Federal regulations are forcing them to create this position. -
For once I agree with you. Well said.

I think it is 9, with Men's and Women's Basketball being required.

Not sure where you pulled that comment out of, but I guess I would rather not know.

Too bad they aren't ever #1 in any rankings that really matter. #suckedfor50years -
NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

Why don't we just permanently abolish some academic departments and/or colleges and focus on the remaining units to make them stronger? Will it really ruin our reputation if we offer 150 majors instead of 200? -
I hope you are not questioning the loyalty of fans who choose not to go to this tournament. It's more about prioritizing financial resources and leisure time than not supporting the team.
-
I am not going either and I never thought I would type that. I am sick of the Target Center and how this tournament is run. As long as things are run by these keystone cops, I will not waste anymore time and/or money on it.

It's nice to know that not everyone adheres to the "Climax-Fisher Rule". -
First conference game in Fargo or Grand Forks?

They will use whatever computer program they use to come up with the conference schedules. -
I like it.

NORTH DAKOTA vs. SCSU - SATURDAY Gameday ********
fightingsioux4life replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
Watch it my friend. I am a progressive liberal and I am NOT anti-American. As for what Gage posts on social media, I couldn't care less. He has the same right to his opinion that I (and Oxbow6 for that matter) have. He was our captain for title team #8 and has contributed a lot to this program. People should lay off.- 314 replies

But according to some people, we are now as bad as we were at the end of the Gino regime. -

I think it was 2002, when North Dakota and Boston College both missed the tournament after playing for the NCAA title the previous year. -
NORTH DAKOTA vs. SCSU - FRIDAY Gameday

This has been an issue all season. There were some big, juicy rebounds to be exploited last night, but we had nobody close enough to take advantage of them. -
My point is that if you build it big enough for FB to practice in, it makes no sense to cut FB's budget. Since Bubba took over, the program has been growing and gaining fans. Why jeopardize that in the name of ROI? This cannot be all about ROI and nothing else. If it was, most collegiate programs wouldn't even exist.
-
You don't build an indoor practice facility big enough for FB to practice in and then cut their budget. That makes no sense.
-
That reminds me, since our programs are moving into the Summit/MVFC, that means we'll be playing against teams that are funding FCOA. There goes your rationale (I think it was you) for not funding it because "the Big Sky schools aren't doing it".
