    Based on this attitude, maybe we should drop FB? You don't just give up because the job is difficult and the goals tough to achieve. MH would never have become what it has become if we had adopted this attitude. We didn't always have a $104 million arena or all our home games on television. We got there with hard work and a positive attitude. If you have those, then good things will happen (not always as quickly as some people would like). NDSU will not be great forever. Don't fall for the propaganda coming out of Fargo. SDSU smoked them in Brookings this year. They lost to JMU in the semis at home last year; they are NOT invincible. Sports are cyclical. NDSU is not immune to that. Either we shoot for the stars or we stop investing time and money into the FB program. Period. #daybyday

    Even Bison fans thought we belonged in the playoffs in 2015. The committee screwed us over that year. That's a fact. And being a "borderline" playoff team in 2015 was just two years removed from Mussman's final season trainwreck (3-8). So I think that is one heck of a turnaround.

    You are correct. And I am willing to bet dollars for doughnuts that nobody here is happy about that. Like I said, if next year is more of the same old crap, I will be on your side on this.

    This is my basic position on Bubba, his staff and the program in general. I believe this year was a fluke. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. That isn't likely to happen next year and I think this team bounces back nicely. However, if next season is more of the same, I will be right there with UND-FB-FAN in questioning whether this regime will take us where we want to go. Only time will tell who is right and who is wrong. And if I am wrong, I will admit it and start calling for a change at the top. We are all anxious to put a national contender on the field, but we need to just sit back and watch what happens.

    I agree with you, but Tom Miller took up the Schlossman Rule banner on Sunday, so I had to throw that last comment in. We better figure out something or every team is going to do the same thing (some more than others).

    BIG weekend for this team, in more ways than one. Must put together 120 minutes of solid hockey this weekend. And no more "hot goalies" for Cripes Sake!

    I am not sure I would label an OT tie as "rebounding" from an ugly loss the night before. This was an ugly weekend. No sugar-coating it.

    As bad as this weekend was, Union is in no way as bad as Michigan State was last year.
