  1. So tell me, is it uncivil to point out that a player in the starting lineup is (or hasn't been up to this point) not very good? I say no. Some people think we should post all positive things all the time and make a conscious choice to ignore any obvious negatives. That is the approach that makes me go "UGH".
  2. So you have a double-secret list of who is contributing to UND athletics and who isn't? If not, I wouldn't be throwing out assumptions. Remember what the first three letters of assumption are........
  3. And yet, here you are giving an opinion on a message board. "And isn't it ironic....don't you think?" (Copyright 1995 Alanis Morissette, All Rights Reserved)
  4. I have never understood this.
  5. Pointing out that a player is not very good is not "uncivil". It's just an observation.
  6. To be honest, I wear downvotes as a badge of honor. Telling inconvenient truths that some people won't like is a messy but necessary task. A task I am happy to take on.
  7. I am pretty sure the players aren't soft at all. Just the ducky and bunny crowd on SS.com.
  8. So if a current player is not very good, we are supposed to pretend otherwise and keep our mouths shut? This isn't high school athletics, even if some of our followers treat it as such.
  9. That has got to be the worst run conference in all collegiate sports.
  10. Kelly had nothing to work with in the post 1991 era. I honestly don't know if he could win a title with this team or not. The eras are so different.
  11. Stats and common sense are often mocked and ridiculed by some people on this forum. They are not worth arguing with.
  12. The only bowl games I watch are the CFP games. And the games UND or NDSU would qualify for are played in mid-December on a weeknight in front of half-filled stadiums.
  13. When a prospect can go wherever he wants, it is ultimately his opinion that matters. All the coaches can do is make sure he has accurate information.
  14. Ultimately, it's what the prospect thinks and is concerned about, not what we think.
  15. And nothing will change, per usual. And that is a truth you (and others) have never been able to swallow.
  16. This is where some posters will tell us it's not a problem because everyone in upper management at UND is so open and approachable and all that is needed is to place a phone call or shoot off a quick email.
  17. Well, if the NCAA won't do it, this is the next logical step.
  18. Screw Twitter, it's a sinking ship anyway.
  19. Welcome to our sometimes dysfunctional online family @Long Snapper 92! Looking forward to hearing your insights on all things UND.
  20. He was once a UND commit who had his offer revoked. And it became a big story in the hockey world. And it's the off-season, we need to fill the time with something.
  21. What did the father do?
  22. He did apologize and the mother rejected it. The mother will never accept any apology, whether sincere or otherwise. Miller has suffered major consequences for his abhorrent behavior. At what point does it become beating a dead horse? What does the mother really want, Miller to live on the streets the rest of his life? At some point, everyone has to move on.
  23. Agree 100%. This mother needs to let it go. If she keeps targeting him and keeps harassing teams not to sign him, she could end up as a target of a harassment lawsuit. The line between victim and perpetrator can be thinner than we sometimes think.
