If we can't afford to do what is necessary to be competitive in Division I, we should move FB to the Pioneer League or just drop the sport. Or move back down to Division II, where we can win with very few resources. This Division I move was poorly planned from the start. Doing something this large and consequential because someone else did it (NDSU, SDSU) is never a good reason to do something. The results (or lack thereof) are all the evidence you need.

You will never eliminate all complaints. But you will have far fewer of them with 12 teams vs 4 teams.

Wow, a lot of "We just can't do it" thinking here. No wonder we can't build our non-hockey Division I programs, the "can't do" mentality prevents us from getting past square one. The "sit back and wait" approach won't work in this environment. I don't want to become the next Northern Colorado.

This is not last year's UND team. And if Denver thinks they can just show up and roll to a couple of easy wins, they are in for a nasty surprise. I predict a 3 point weekend for the good guys.

Until they can figure out how to avoid getting their a$$es kicked by SDSU for the 3rd time this calendar year, it won't matter in the long run anyway.

Just get 3 points this weekend and I'll consider the trip a success. A regulation win tonight would accomplish just that.
