I agree. I like how they incorporated the Sioux history in both too. I'm nervous the company we hired will ignore it completely.

I've noticed that too in the limited NHL on NBC I've seen. But they also billed yesterday as "Hockey Day in America," so that probably had a lot to do with it too.

Anyone else catch any Omaha-Miami game on NCHCtv last night? I only had it on for a couple minutes, but the camera guy was zoomed in waaaaaay too far and there was no audio. Just brutal.

Fun fact: If you Google Map Banks' address, it's Gay 90's in downtown Minneapolis.

I really thought I was going to be ok with all of this, but with the official announcement scheduled and coming up later, I'm very nervous about the results and sad that this is happening.

I'm all for Roughriders, and if I had a vote, that's what I'd vote for. But since it looks like Fighting Hawks will prevail, I really liked the idea someone here had last week about going with an airplane/aviation logo for Fighting Hawks. Would make it a little more unique and might actually be something people could rally around.

I just don't get the people say they liked hearing it when the hockey team played in Providence. The announcer never used it as a nickname. He always said "NoDak," as in, short for North Dakota. You never heard him say, "the NoDaks," it was always, "he's been a good player for NoDak." Turns out we can still refer to the teams as NoDak if that's soooo important with a different official nickname.

I was kinda bummed to see Luke Johnson on the ice after he took that penalty earlyish in the third. So late and stupid. Was hoping Berry would bench him to send him a message about his dumb penalties.
