But what does KEM think about her? Isn't that the only opinion that matters?!!

It exists in "Retired" threads and doesn't pop up on the main page unless someone recently comments on it. So by posting on the thread complaining about the thread still existing, you bring it back to life!! See the irony?!!

The back to back to back Championship teams will always be remembered for winning it all. But really they remind us of era of dominance that is rarely seen in any sport. Hockey's run from 1997-2017 was pretty damn impressive, but the 19 year run from the early 90's through the mid 2000's might have been more impressive!! UND womens basketball stats from the 1989-1990 season through the 2007-2008 season (19 seasons): Record: 516-78 NCC Championships: 11 NCAA Tournament Appearances: 19 (consecutive) NCAA Elite 8: 7 NCAA Runner Up: 1 NCAA Championships: 3 The Golden era of basketball at UND and the womens program was the crown jewel!!

Renew your season tickets: See 6 home UND football games and enjoy an offense run by competent Offensive Coordinator who actually knows what he is doing!! Should be enough to sellout every game!!

Putting this here because two of the prominent inductees involve UND womens basketball; Gene Roebuck and the 1998-1999 Womens Basketball National Championship team. They went 31-1 with a 4 point loss at NDSU as the only loss of the season. Jenny Crouse was the NCC and D2 player of the year as well as an All American. Katie Richards and Jaimie Pudenz was also All Americans. Roebuck was also NCC Coach of the Year. Without a doubt the best UND womens basketball team of all time.

Whatever Colorado Decides, North Dakota Needs to Be Done With Mark Kennedy https://www.sayanythingblog.com/entry/whatever-colorado-decides-north-dakota-needs-to-be-done-with-mark-kennedy/ As much good (or bad if you think that) that Kennedy has done for UND, I agree with Port here that UND needs to be done with Kennedy. If Colorado rejects him, it is going to be tough for him to come back and say that he is committed to UND after looking at 2 other schools in 3 years to move on to. It is unfortunate he is moving on, cause he did a lot of good for UND. Sure he had his faults. But I think the good out weighed the bad throughout his tenure. Unfortunately the bad was over analyzed and talked about more. Moving forward, I hope UND can find a candidate that is committed to UND for the long haul and is committed to making UND better and viable in the work of constant change at Universities this day. Start by continuing on the good things Kennedy did would make the next President successful.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/government-and-politics/4597215-kennedy-sorry-leave-und-role-university-colorado-system It is a shame UND is losing Kennedy. He got unfair criticism, mostly the dropping of womens hockey and other programs, and was given little to no credit for all teh good things he did for UND. UND last a good President. CU recognizes it, those that don't judge a person based on mob mentality recognize it as well. “Mark Kennedy is a proven leader with a diverse set of skills and experiences in higher education, government and business that will allow him to build on the considerable success CU has experienced in recent years and take the university to even greater heights,” Sue Sharkey, chair of the CU Board of Regents, said in a statement.

Kennedy is such a horrible University President that he was encouraged to apply for the UCF President job and now appears to be the next President at Colorado. Can't blame him for leaving. He walked into a mess here at UND. Besides the nickname and logo fiasco, he had to make tough decision regarding the budget and cut what needed to be cut in order to make UND viable for years to come. All that while being criticized by a donor thousands of miles away that is calling for his head.

My prediction: Boudreau will be fired, Hakstol hired as the new Wild head coach. You heard it here first!!

Since 2006 when Holy Cross beat Minnesota, a 4 seed has beaten a 1 seed every year. This year there were 2 (almost 3). I think I read somewhere that since the tournament expanded to 16 teams, more 4 seeds have advanced to the Frozen 4 than 2 or 3 seeds combined!! So what does this mean? 4 seeds are given an advantage over 1 seeds in the regionals that they should not deserve to have. Mankato got rewarded for a season of success earning a 1 seed by playing #4 seed Providence in Providence. The past 13 years when a 4 beat a 1, many of those games were played in less than half full arenas with a subdued crowd. Not having to play in a hostile environment is an advantage for the 4 seeds and why they have had success these last 14 years. Solution? As suggested, #1 seeds should host the regionals. They play 30+ games earning that #1 seed throughout the season. No reason they have to go across the country to play in a half full arena or in an arena 20 miles from the 4 seeds campus. Its easy. If you are a school that plays in an arena or has access to a larger arena if your home rink is small, reserve that arena for the weekend of the regionals. If you earn a 1 seed, then bam you get to host. If you are a school and you can't or don't want to reserve a viable venue for a regional, than the #2 seed has a chance to host. Will 4 seeds still win tournament games? Of course. But it will definitely not be as easy. Which is the way it should be.

I hear ya, I always thought that guys that said "Oh I like the kid UND has playing for them now. I remember watching his dad play when I was in college" were old gray haired fans that met at Judys talking about the old days of Sioux hockey. Now I am that guy!!!

https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/4593391-lamoureux-twins-speak-about-values-ethics-und “If there’s a way to be a part of a positive solution for women’s hockey to be back at the university in the Ralph, we want to be a part of that,” she said. Jocelyne said she and Monique believe it is important for girls to have the opportunity to play in a world-class facility like Ralph Engelstad Arena, but currently that option is only available to men and boys because the program elimination. “I think to have one of the best facilities in the world and to only provide that opportunity to men and boys, I think girls should have that opportunity as well,” she said, earning a loud applause. So instead of accepting the FACTS about why the program was cut, they play the sexism card. Don't get me wrong, these two do a great job promoting great causes and promoting womens hockey. but in regards to UND dropping the womens hockey program, they are as ignorant as you can get.

Rough year for 1 seeds!!

St Cloud has been to the NCAA Tournament 12 years. Have lost in the first round 8 of those 12 games. 1 Frozen Four, and an NCAA playoff record of 5-12. Hasn't been pretty (minus the Frozen Four year of 2013). I think anything short of a National Championship this year for the Huskies would be a disappointment given the year they have had.

https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/bracketiq/2019-03-27/1-ncaa-tournament-bracket-stays-perfect-sweet-16-first Our very own SiouxVolley is famous!! I mean....he has to be this guy with the only perfect bracket still remaining. He's such a good predictor!!!

I wonder where he holds his candlelight vigil on the the anniversary of the program being cut? Maybe in front of the empty trophy case displaying all the Championships they one!! Perhaps he lights 2 candles at his vigil. One for each Lammy twin. Or maybe the two candles are for the two NCAA tournament appearances UND played in the history of the program. More fitting would be two candles representing the 2 million dollars it sucked from the athletic department every year.

Today and tomorrow are 2 of the best sports days of the year, IMO. 16 games, 12 hours of basketball both days, how can you beat that!! Working very unproductively today (at least after 11:15) and then taking tomorrow off to watch games. March Madness simply is the best!

What are the chances Hak ends up with the Wild if Boudreau gets canned for not making the playoffs?!!
