  1. Gf is like a damn war zone right now. There's a pot hole on the south side of the Columbia mall lot that's so deep and wide I'm pretty sure it's cashing my alimony check.
  2. Berry's contract (and I could just say any Mens Hockey Head Coach now and into the future).... Will not be bought out by the University of North Dakota...... Ever. Whether people think that good bad or indifferent is irrelevant.
  3. This is just a pretty normal occurrence, the staff is usually quite accomodating (as they can be) to requests for tours for teams while in town for various youth tourneys. It is an a great thing to expose kids to the facilities. Never know where the next diamond in the rough can be found.
  4. In what way? Would love to hear this pontification....
  5. I believe the current cases the AGs office is involved in will have some major shifts on how the entire landscape of charitable gaming in ND operates going forward. I would be willing to bet you won't see alot of changes or moves made until after the dust settles. Some big knockers are under the microscope right now.
  6. It's just such a bad take to think this thing is controllable any more. It's on the level of betting on the BetaMax and then sinking the retirement on LazerDisc players in the DeLorean
  7. Maybe we tamp down the expectation mound a wee bit for now....
  8. 18U Prep is the top team. "Varsity" The 18U AAA lands those that dont make the prep team as well as those 16 yr olds that dont make the 16U team.
  9. He's a heck of a hockey player, great hands, great speed, and can get an absolute piss missle of a shot off very quickly. A prospect? maybe not right now but if puts a bit more size on and follows the path, who knows. Easily one of the top kids in the NDAHA 05/06 group at the HP camp this past weekend. Fun kid to watch play hockey.
  10. Pretty sure after Chicago taxes that amounts to $43 left in the tank.... Canadian dollars.
  11. Ahhh....... Debatable. Me thinks the jury may still be out as of now.
  12. A coach needs experience.... Volunteer assistant at UND while finishing a degree? He'd not going to make it far in life without a degree......
  13. Al was just an absolute gem when I interacted with him and he was a true gentleman when I introduced my kids to him. Just an absolute legend. Any idea when a funeral for this man will be?
  14. This is the reality, but we just had to try and keep up with the Jones... and for what to be constantly jealous of their tier 2 pretend D1 titles? This "one year" is not an anomaly If a person can not see the past and future trajectory, there's really no hope for them...
  15. Every organization has a culture. Making sure it tracks with the mission and objective is the pickle. It's also very easy for it to derail
  16. And a portion of the fan base already is burning her at the stake for existing. This is 100% accurate. NIL collectives are competition to the organizations you mentioned. It is and will continue to grow to be a big issue.
  17. Speculate this possibility Player goes to a school where he can get NIL money to the effect that tuition and scholarship isn't needed. Scholly dollars go to other talent recruits or portals to fill out team? Could scholarship "limits" basically go the way of the vcr?
  18. And I could make a real argument for an 8th too..... Dang good team they had there.
  19. Dean French hangs it up at South-Shanley. https://www.inforum.com/sports/prep/fargo-south-shanley-boys-hockey-coach-dean-french-steps-down
  20. No. He's a CharlieUnicornNovemberTango of a person.
  21. Eero Butella Saw some of this kids play for Chicago Mission this year, think he's already committed to Northeastern but maybe a flip or a portal get later. Don't know his situation but, Great shot, compete level good poise on the ice... hes one to watch.
  22. This should 100% happen at UND. Theme ideas would be: Local post-game re-hydration establishments. Pre Game Eats. Notable local attractions. Regularly closed Interstates and Hiways
  23. The TeamND competitiveness vs full time Tier1 teams is always an interesting conundrum. This year they beat the full time Power program for Nationals berths... Clearly, nobody expected that to happen. At the national level it's just a whole different monster playing uber high end teams that play disciplined team structure. So question is IF the TeamND played a 60 game Tier1 schedule... how would they fair? How would the roster look? Stronger? Would it be a better team? Would the kids who leave have stayed? Would the ones who played have committed and been able to stomach the schedule and expense? It's a huge double edged sword. The reality is a ND based Tier1 team of only ND players in theory can and would compete with the top in the Nation But that's a fantasy to assume the top 20 14 or 15 or 16 year old kids could or would commit to the time expense and life change of Tier1 hockey. ND high school hockey would be changed for sure but I'm not in the camp that Tier1 would "kill" ND HS. It may actually solve some of the inequality issues.. who knows. Bottom line is... its great to see the success the TeamND kids did have this year and I know they did impress nationally
