  1. Those schools may win and EVENTUALLY NCAA will expand but that is a long process. You are correct D3, and ACHA are probably big winners as well, and quickly I see that point of CanJrA, just considering the relationships of that with the MJ teams as continuing to protect development paths for Canadian kids, but who knows that that all plays out I guess.
  2. I see this as a massive blow to USA Hockey overall. How I see it playing out.. There will be a huge influx of MJ age outs flooding the NCAA spots, and this will absolutely shut out opportunities for USHL and NAHL kids in the USA hockey system. Yes, eventually college hockey will expand but at a minimum It will take 7-10 years for college hockey to expand to accommodate the influx of players. Zero top talent kids will go the NCAA route immediately, they will absolutely go MJ with college being the age out option for further development. It will be easy for the MJ teams to attract and convince kids of this path, especially in the time it takes NCAA to React/FugUp that reaction/Adapt to the ne norm. NCAA Hockey will be the backup plan The other side of the shitsandwich is specifically WHO it hurts the most: 2005/2006/2007 kids (maybe even 2008s) because they will be the ones caught in the middle of the influx and expansion options, a group of kids already the most effected by the covid shutdowns, extra years, and everything they've had to go through.. In the end NCAA wont be competing with MJ for players it will be competing with the ECHL and Europe for players. Different world is coming. Losers: NCAA Hockey, USHL Massive Losers: NAHL, USA Hockey players Winners: Canadian Major Juniors, NHL teams, Canadian Junior A Massive Winners: AAA Hockey programs who can further push the need to pay for exposure and development,
  3. Boring. Best way to describe it all.
  4. "Ouch"... anyone else catch that commentary
  5. August 1st has come and gone so time to fire up a new High School thread. Is there anybody left in the state this year after Juniors and AAA and Canada ......and Warroad ..... has pilfered the boys and girls ranks? Is this the year for a west team contend? (Spoiler alert: No.) Does a Fargo team push the GF's? Tough to pick many more than the deeper teams this year as it seems to be a shallow pool throughout the state. Pre-start of school picks: East: Central. West: It doesn't matter... but Minot has the most depth to build from.
  6. They always will they have to... the USHL NAHL drafts are a big glaring spotlight as to how much respect North Dakota High School hockey has in the eyes the hockey world. And NDHSAA has and is signaling as always.... We Don't Care. The message is clear GET OUT OF NORTH DAKOTA as soon as possible.
  7. The real ramifications aside.... If that guy's day is ruined by this. I'm all for it.
  8. Brutal news about Brock, mentally has to be just as difficult and physically challenging. https://twitter.com/frank_seravalli/status/1792564751173648670?t=s7KUdphsgtI_kGTUu3G35A&s=19
  9. Easy there anti-dentite...
  10. well I guess it fits the marque better than "House of pretending the glass bong you just bought with the pawn money from the iPhone you stole, is just a decor piece."
  11. Almost impossible, facebook doesn't care..... at all. or how much you lose... they just want traffic. ANY facebook post or anything that leads you to another link to buy something should be looked at with 99% suspicion. The story of " my daughter (or vulnerable person" designed this shirt" is a common scam ploy, almost as bad as the "game will be broadcast here" links or the "tragic news just released footage"... phrase thank thing with heavy Indian based followers or profiles are that, India based troll farms. All these are super successful in scamming the facebook demographic. thing is you might actually get the shirt, drop shipping like that is easy but what they have is all your personal info and payment info. "All things" is basically the exact same but just gotten too big to "fail" in a way. Nobody is looking out for you, and everybody is trying to take advantage of you.... 2024ness is awesome......
  12. Please be very cautious about UND fan Facebook groups. There is a new one that seems like a scam that has 3k members already. All the admins are fake profiles that are just the same Indian profile farm scam type people. The dead giveaway other than the admins profiles is the scam tshirt sale links they post. Facebook scammers have moved from fake profiles posting links to shirts on posts and within groups to just making fake groups. That way they control and block those that try to warn others of the scams within the group.
  13. Absolutely not shocking in any way, unfortunately.
  14. Well just turned it on and it only took 4 seconds for me to wish someone would take an electric mixer to Buccis tongue and vocal cords. Guess the mute button it will be
  15. Oh boy that's going to really rile up the good old boy club in Dickinson just cashing all that government foreign student aid money ...
  16. Under. Easy money.
  17. Isn't there s law in ND that prevents these storys identifying the victim?? like Marcy's law or something? It's got to traumatizing to have all this published about oneself
  18. CAR wasn't guaranteed to lose him, they'd have still had his rights till next August correct? He could have got the same deal or better from CAR next spring. Basically the ONLY way I see a win here for Blake is if he gets a game in the final week in the National. Still haven't heard anyone say anything about the knee yet either.... Speculation could say that's maybe what the CAR staff was evaluating? Maybe the thought is get what money he can now and let the pro club outline the rehab ( if thats a concern) into next season in the American or the coast.
  19. Jest or not, in the context of the board... I chuckled. Have yourself an up-mark for that.
  20. hmm Kinda like what maybe the ND higher education system should do... UND-Fargo campus can keep football and Bball
  21. Did they also see Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night?
  22. Hence the.... But not always so you still end up with some super high-end kid who you'll hear and see in college and beyond in the future. Its just impressive the sheer talent that is out there. A great thing to be able to host them in our state, and even more awesome for Team ND kids who earned their way to experience it! They'll be better for experience and had themselves a chance at some real exposure
  23. The real amazing thing is that as high end as it is 15s is a quasi tier2 division... as the higher end 15s will be on their programs 16U team. But not always so you still end up with some super high-end kid who you'll hear and see in college and beyond in the future. It does kinda stink that SSM takes the MN slots every year, with at-large availability it would kinda make sense for them to be just granted a provision at large slot every year and allow for the other MN teams to compete more often. But then others would want the same and some other acade6would just fill SSM void in MN. These nationals truly are amazing experiences for the participants, spectators, and recruiting.
