  1. Tour of football facilities if you haven’t seen them yet. Fit for championships… LFG
  2. Two great young men to build around, including one from … dare I say it …. Detroit Lakes, MN…
  3. Don’t give NDSU that much credit. UND graduates stay and support the region in ways NDSU graduates simply can’t. And yes, UND certainly prepares students to take their talents elsewhere as well.
  4. Don’t be so critical all the time … We all want UND football to succeed. At least most of us. SOURCE: 2026 AFCA 35 UNDER 35
  5. Agreed. More can always be done. And I whole heartedly agree with not blaming or faulting the players. The experienced adults in the room (coaches, athletic director, administration, alumni/fans/boosters) are the ones who rightfully deserve the (hopefully constructive) criticism.
  6. People with their intentions can be subtle … and the proof is in the pudding (2025 wasn’t a good ending for it) time will tell
  7. Does that include the offensive coordinator? He seems to have a fascination with the Big 10 and NFL. Perhaps UND just ain’t doing it for him …
  8. This recognition is not based on the performance of UND’s offense the final 6 weeks of the season. Significant work needs to be done on offense, no doubt. What they were trying to do at the end there was futile and simply wrong. And now lost Sawyer Seidl to amplify the work that needs to done. Unfortunately, offensive regression cost the team championship possibilities based on how defense was playing. Lots of factors went into said regression, but accountability, not recognition, is needed to fix it...
  9. Right on
  10. You never know
  11. Ha ha ha the plot thickens, and the fish in the fish story always grows
  12. Hindsight is always 20/20, Nostradamus.
  13. @UNDBIZ You may need to expand on your stance. You don’t think using NIL in recruiting new student-athletes is relevant currently in college football? Or something UND should do? Adopting that approach would put UND at a major competitive disadvantage. But don’t get me wrong, need to support the current student-athletes also, but it should not be limited to just that group if there’s an opportunity to do something different (i.e., give to a transfer) to help the program.
  14. Agree with this completely
  15. Speak for yourself. Let’s raise the expectations a bit shall we?
  16. Disagree. Can’t have a strong stance like that. Need to be open-minded if gonna win championships. Best players play and need support regardless of where they come from and how they get here.
  17. Based on how this season went, any and all competent quarterbacks and wide receivers in the portal should be strongly entertained. Y’all contribute to NIL funds (701 awards, 1883 sports) now ya here, let’s get these boys here to Grand Forks to check out the new facilities and get them signed.
  18. And …
  19. It was definitely front-loaded. The offense fell apart the second half of the season and it hurt. The fact that they won a playoff game was completely on the defense and what Schmidt brought here. Here’s to hoping Schmidt makes the all important tough decisions yesterday/today to move the offense and ultimately the team forward.
  20. … gotta fight grass isn’t always greener on the other side
  21. I can. They can get to the big leagues (NFL, CFL) via UND with what we now got. “Portal-ing” just to ride the bench at a mid-FBS school falters away pro chances and is potentially foolish. They’ll get some quick “life-changing money” as people call it, but spend it all in a few years and it will ultimately mean nothing. Making it to the NFL should be the real goal, and if you transfer and end up 3rd or 4th on the depth chart, good luck with that. Where do you think you are more valued? The place you’re recruited to and developed or the place that values you as a potential quick fix on the depth chart? I’m not gonna be all happy go lucky about players entering the portal to leave UND as apparently some others will be …

    FBS

UND plays Nebraska next season (2026) on September 19, 2026 in Lincoln. UND owes them one after 2022… Coach Schmidt will be quite familiar with the defensive scheme they’ll be running ……
  23. Cause it’s ran by the biased crybabies out of Fargo … ridiculous UND/Grand Forks needs to reignite its media presence
  24. Reasonable and logical as always. We should all be excited to carry forward the momentum. 2026 has the potential to be a record setting season for UND football in the Division I era. Let’s do it.
  25. Could be better, for sure. Defensive IQ certainly received a boost over the past 12 months.
