  1. This football program deserves a full house, so I have no problem making threats and negative comments if the puck heads can't think logically and show up.
  2. Absolutely, I sure hope it's deafening.
  3. I love the potential matchup with Eastern Washington. It would be a much better matchup for UND compared to going to Fargo; it's damn near impossible to beat NDSU in Fargo during the playoffs (as evidenced by the past 5 seasons). First, let's pack the Alerus Center on December 3rd and get a huge first DI playoff win!! Go Hawks!
  4. Fortunately, if UND wins their 2nd round game and Eastern Washington does the same, the best team of the Big Sky Conference will be decided on the field. Go Hawks!
  5. If UND receives a better seed than SDSU, then UND could play a better matchup in the quarterfinals if they reach it that far. A UND-NDSU matchup would be fun but it wouldn't be easy; let SDSU face NDSU in the quarters.
  6. I would. He ended up at the University of Minnesota for a reason. Call a spade a spade. Keaton has been a good QB for UND but, like all positions at UND, there is always room for improvement.
  7. Correct. Studsrud has made better decisions. Streveler is a better athlete.
  8. I've mentioned this before and I'll mention this again: I absolutely love the way Chris Streveler plays for South Dakota. Obviously his decision-making has some issues, as it allowed UND to capitalize and beat South Dakota, but he is a heck of a competitor. That's the type of QB UND should recruit moving forward. Keaton Studsrud is the same type of competitor with his toughness.
  9. I'm still hoping for NDSU and SDSU to lose; both yet possible. UND has a shot at #6 seed. SDSU could jump UND if SDSU wins
  10. NDSU goes right down the field and scores. 21-14 NDSU 1:01 2nd quarter
  11. 14-14 4:01 2nd quarter South Dakota and North Dakota State finish it this time around, South Dakota
  12. UND should be a top 8 seed now. Great news for this UND football team - guaranteed more time to rest and a home game. All spectacular. Now UND can still gain positive positioning with University of Central Arkansas and South Dakota State losses.
  13. Only 6 football members ... that wouldn't work. Oh well, creative idea. I especially like the name you came up with there.
  14. Sure must be nice to be able to fly across the country every other weekend to follow UND football. Retirement hasn't hit me yet, so give me Fargo, Brookings, and Vermillion over these ridiculous 800+ mile locations. I still feel, as does apparently the UND administration and athletic department, that most folks would feel biennial trips to Fargo, Brookings, and Vermillion are far more accessible and practical than trips to Missoula, Bozeman, and Greeley every other year.
  15. All fair points. Are you as likely to attend games in Arizona, Montana, Colorado and California as you are in North Dakota (Fargo), South Dakota, and Iowa, though? The answer for most folks would be that biennial trips to Fargo, Brookings, and Vermillion are far more accessible and practical than trips to Missoula, Bozeman, and Greeley every other year. Edit: Of course UND could still add Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington, etc. to non-conference scheduling; that makes more sense than playing teams from North Dakota (NDSU) and South Dakota (SDSU, USD) as non-conference opponents only every 4 years.
  16. It demonstrates how clueless the committee members truthfully are.
  17. The thing is, no one knows, including the committee memebers. They just make things up as they go. Complete BS selection system.
  18. I don't believe UND will lose unless it actually happens. NDSU does their thing with pure confidence. UND needs to do the same. Beat the Utes!!!
  19. You think New Hampshire and Western Illinois should've been in over UND? Don't get me started on that different topic, Ira. I too like the schools in the Big Sky Conference, but I also like the regional schools that are far more relatable to UND and this region. If anyone thinks average attendance (which is $$ bottomline) won't be up with consistent contests against local schools (NDSU, SDSU, USD), they are largely mistaken. This needs to happen largely for that as well as the travel costs (perhaps minor but still a tangible factor). Lastly, travel to away contests and neutral site tournaments (Sioux Falls Summit League Tournament) for UND fans will improve substantially in terms of numbers. Perhaps you won't get "scenic, unique vacations" that the BSC apparently allows for some, but that isn't doable for the masses. I am happy to hear so many have bought into the Big Sky Conference and support it. That said, don't let inherent hate for NDSU cloud your judgement as far as which conference(s) just make more sense.
  20. UND with 2 of the 10 top plays of week 11 in FCS football: http://www.ncaa.com/video/football/2016-11-14/fcs-football-top-plays-week-eleven?cid=ncaafcssocial_tw_sf42481074
  21. I noticed that also during the game and Bubba commented on that during yesterday's press conference. He played his ass off trying to end it then and there. Reyes is very, very good -- of course, we all knew that already.
  22. No, the DII loss kept them out of the playoffs. If any FCS team lost to a DII team yet went 7-4, you too would say that the DII loss should keep them out. Don't be hypocritical.
  23. Nice looking bracket. Obviously this won't be spot on, but I still like the match-ups and obviously UND getting a top 8 seed.
