For the last Bison game the UND band was marching through the parking lot at the Alerus and a bunch of Bison fans decided to throw stuff at us as well. They tried grabbing people's instruments and were also shouting not so nice things at us. Thankfully the drummers started hitting back and some heroic Sioux fans came in and removed the trouble makers with some nice force.

This question gets asked a lot on PA and Dubay when they have the EA guy on to simulate the Vikes game. The reason baseball got made is that MLB signed an exclusive agreement with a different game maker. Unless this happens in hockey, the chances are unlikely of getting the game made. I guess you could keep bugging them. On a side note, anybody know if EA is actually planning on releasing a version of NHL 07 that will utililze the PS3's capabilities? If the PS3 ever comes out. That could bring up its own potential nightmare of forcing the Big Ten schools to form together since there'd be six of them with DI hockey.

If the Canadian schools are allowed to join, the possibility is there for the Alaska schools to be able to form a new more western based conference. Might give them a chance to finally get to the playoffs and save some money. Who knows, but maybe a Cali school would finally jump to DI. Just throwing something out there.

What is the word on Winona? Is the offensive still explosive? I'm really excited about the way our O looked. I don't remember one bubble screen yesterday, thank goodness. Maybe not a horrible play, but on every series it gets predictable. Our D line looked good yesterday and our D-backs did a good job of coverage. It wasn't often that I saw the big yardage cushion given to the reciever like in years past. This should be a good game and peope are right that there might be a letdown. After reading Lennon's quotes, however, I don't see this team having a letdown. They will be amped for this first home game. I think this game will be a fun one.

That was FUN!! People that didn't go really missed out. Free beer with the alumni function. I believe we went into 6 or 7 kegs. A very good number of Sioux fans, but in all honesty I was expecting more. Filled over a section at the game. Our fans did a great job of cheering and didn't stop throughout the game. The game itself had a lot of big exciting plays even though neither team really went for the long bomb. Both teams had great speed on offense and I'm very impressed that our D stood up to the challenge. UNI didn't play bad at all except on D at the end of the game. Let's not forget that we were on the short end of turnovers with a fumble on the goal line and a punt being blocked. We overcame both. Crazy ending with four TD's in last 5 minutes. Didn't expect that at all. This game ranks right behind winning the title.

I read the Strib yesterday (can't find article online) and I believe it was Taylor who was saying something about Mid-Con possibly adding football in the near future. The first time I read the quote it almost seemed as if Taylor thought he was a spokesman for the league. Besides that, though, what's the possibility of football becoming a conference sport of the Mid-Con?

The tickets may be sold, but I've been told that the people don't necessarily go to the games. I believe them coming close to a sell outs on average is only since their titles.

You can add a sports pack on digital cable and get the 3 college sports combined stations that you were mentioning for cable. Normally Wisconsin is on and some Denver. Do get a CCHA once in a while along with some east coast. Most were live or like a half hour late. They would show other games on tape delay. Oh and CSTV is on that as well.

Apparently players like the look of the Oregon uni's and they've actually brought recruits in because of them. Sad, but the youngsters don't care about tradition. They want to stand out, and the schools need them. I really don't mind the Vikings uni's. It always bugged me that the purple jersey and purple helmet didn't match. Not as noticeable now. I'm not sure about all the damn curls on the horn and MV.

I have to agree with the dogs making some noise this year. Didn't they have more freshman than us last year? They will be this year's version of St. Cloud from last year.

Sounds like they lost a lot of recievers as well. I like that they lost so many players on the front of their defense, but I have the feeling the guys coming in have plenty of experience. I'm really thinking we'll just need to keep pounding the ball up the middle. Anybody got some better insight on how good our o-line will be?
