    Best colleges

The ACT scores and GPA's for incoming freshmen at NDSU and UND are identical.
  2. Texas Tech is one team FBS team I wouldn't wanna play since they will run it up if they can. Good luck
  3. http://wcco.com/localsportswire/22.0.html?...-Conference.xml ''We're definitely interested,'' Brian Saison, UND's athletic director, said of the potential new conference
  4. looks like UTPA may be joining UND http://www.themonitor.com/sports/conferenc.../west_utpa.html
  5. fortunately NDSU recruits more than one state - at the Michigan State True team meet NDSU recruit Kevin Jackson won the 100, 110 hurdles, 200 and anchored the winning 4X200 relay with some pretty good times (10.83 100, 14.18 110h, 21.66 200) I think Dressler ran mostly 400/800's prior to his senior year- and his times were not spectacular, had he run the times he had in the sprints at the end of his senior year I think he would have been much more heavily recruited
  6. and those of China and India
  7. I didn't know people actually listened to Air America
  8. Maybe they are following the lead of Kupchella and were "out of the country" and "unavailable for comment".
  9. Minnie didn't play the "top of the summit league" this year, ORU and IUPUI were the class of the conference, with Oakland, NDSU, IPFW, and to some extent making up the second tier, while WIU, Cent, UMKC and SDSU were bottom feeders IUPUI should have gotten an NIT invite RPI Rk Summit Conf All RPI SOS Rk SOS 52 Oral Roberts 19-2 23-8 0.5712 157 0.5002 71 IUPUI 17-4 23-7 0.5545 238 0.4711 169 Oakland 12-8 15-14 0.4973 192 0.4847 193 North Dakota St 10-8 14-13 0.4778 293 0.4502 218 IPFW 10-10 11-18 0.4662 174 0.4925 239 Southern Utah 9-10 11-18 0.4581 194 0.4842 268 Western Ill. 7-12 10-18 0.4375 246 0.4682 283 Centenary 4-15 9-21 0.4286 254 0.4663 288 Mizzou KC 6-13 9-21 0.4250 223 0.4755 330 South Dakota St 3-15 7-21 0.3865 301 0.445
  10. I thought the option was for 2 additional games- one @ UNI and one @ UND?
  11. 0.24 seconds is the standard for converting hand timed to fully automatic times in track
  12. GF- Verm = 378 Miles Fargo-Brookings 190 Miles So it is essentially twice as far from GF-Verm, To drive 188 miles in 1.5 hrs you would be have to be going 125 MPH- better buy a Valentine One
  13. has women's hockey attendance been increasing nationally (don't know) you think a 12000 seat facility is great for a team which averages 298 fans a game, in a sport where only two teams average 800+? http://www.uscho.com/stats/attendancew.php there is a reason the Minnesota women play in a smaller arena and Wisco is looking to build a smaller women's arena Does the betty have ice capabilities- would be perfect size for women's hockey
  14. this should make the Oct 4 SIU-NDSU game in Fargo pretty interesting
  15. http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/weeklyrpi/2007WVBrpi1.html quick look at the VB RPI shows that 200 VB teams played a grand total of 15 sub-DI games (and were 15-0) 200-250 were 2-2 against Sub DI 250-300 were 20-9 300-324 were 15-27 against sub DI tough to say how top DII teams would do against above average DI schools due to the lack of games, and the fact that the top 200 VB teams went 15-0 against sub DI NDSU and SDSU were the best of the NCC when they left, I doubt they would be middle of the pack NCC teams now
  16. Those rankings don't include games after October 8th, Lower division teams (especially undefeated) seem to do better early in the season in Massey Ratings than drop a bit Also VB seems to be a sport with very little interplay between division- even when NDSU was an Indie they were playing all DI teams, making interdivisional rankings almost useless
  17. Sacramento State has a lower acceptance rate than UC-Davis, the qualifications of incoming classes are more relevant than acceptance rate IMHO
  18. Take away December (which is horrible) and it looks pretty good
  19. In the first year of the GWFC all schools were considered to be full members, but there was not a full round robin schedule (until St Mary's dropped football and schedules were changed). I am guessing the GWFC might just be announcing UND/USD as full members to get the autobid clock ticking even if UND/USD don't play all schools the first year.
  20. I wonder how fourwindscross will spin that into UND will be in the Big Sky ASAP.
  21. odd that Buning is going to serve on a "college division" (DII and lower) committee when UND is transitioning to DI shortly
  22. the new coach is Rob Ash according to the Des Moines register... wtf?
  23. I am guessing the "decision" will be made today (it has probably already been made) with negotiations happening over the weekend. After I walked out of the MVD forum- I thought the job was his, but in retrospect he was heavy on stories and the like while DL appeared to give more substance during his forum. I am guessing DL was gonna be the #1 choice regardless.
  24. Just got back from the Mike Van Diest open forum attendance- I am guessing there were a 100+ at the DL forum- today there were probably 150-200 people. Yesterday's crowd was more heavily composed of what appeared to be blue-haired boosters, MSU employees, and some members of the community while today had a much heterogeneous crowd. In his intro MVD talked alot about football in general- also went into detail about his ties with former MSU greats, and Montana in general. mentioned his previous ties with NCAA football as there was a question about his ability to move from NAIA to DI. Said he would bring about 4-5 coaches from CC if he were to come. There weren't as many questions about academics and character issues today (probably becuase of the crowd composition), obviously MVD said he was for discipline and academics but didn't go into as much detail about how he addresses the subjects as did DL. As y'all probably know DL is solid and appears genuine while he speaks but MVD was a bit more engaging and dynamic in his presentation (think motivational speaker[not Matt Foley]). He cracked a few jokes early which went over well with what was obviously a pro-MVD audience. I think the discerning viewer would probably view the open forum as a virtual push between DL and MVD, while "Joe Bobcat Fan" would be more excited about MVD. MSU would be lucky to have either IMHO
