Yes. Last seconds of the game. Ball went a split hair past Greg Bensons finger tips and the guy caught it on his back. We had 1 or two TDs called back and some other idiotic coaching mistakes in that game as well.

USD went to the playoffs in the 73 season because they beat us and we lost to YSU in our last game. SDSU was just another game at that time but Mankato had a pretty good team as did UNI.

Ive never understood that excuse either. But one would need to know how many schollies UND funded VS NDSU to make a determination on the funding levels prior to the NCAA dropping the levels to 36. From what I understand from talking to players from that era the drop had more to do with internal issues in regards to leadership which permeated the athletic dept at the time. What I don't understand is why UND didn't fund their FB team better like NDSU if you are going to try and make that argument?

Not only was D2 stifiling the athletics at NDSU but that designation was holding the University back as well. By making the move research dollars have been substantial and academic degrees increased. IMO the move was more about what was good for the university. The move also had many good impacts on the athletics as well. Penn State and Nebraska joined the Big Ten more for what the University systems synergies brought to the table than what athletics did. The athletic component was the gravy in the equation.

I am trying to think where they could put your group considering the current set up with all of the reserved parking. Plus the GA parking they have rigs getting in line the night before. If your fundraising arm is thinking of doing something they better get going on it now.

Agree. BV used to be much better. You could actually have a discussion on numerous topics and there would be good natured ribbing but very few flame wars. Then BV was over run by a host of immature students and lakesbison wannabes and it really turned the tables up side down. Many of the really good posters don't post anymore because of the BS and a few real head cases. Its a shame.

I am pretty sure I have always referred to you guys as UND especially since Sioux was retired. But one must remember that people on message boards are a very small minority of the fans associated with either team. Fan is short for Fanatic. Fans have more of an edge that the regular fan. Fanatics have a tendency to forget its just a game. Ive never been able to understand the hate that some show on both sides of the fence.

You guys were much improved over the previous season. Which I found amazing considering how they were beat down from the previous staff. I think you are going to be much better than some think. IMO.

You seem to have that comment on speed dial. You need to worry more about getting better than NDSU falling. Thats what winners do. I am sure Bubba is trying to instill that in your team after what they have been through with the previous staff.

I wouldn't call it important in as much as its an opportunity. If importance trips your trigger then go with it.

There are many who are excited about this game. Please quit trying to suggest you represent the majority.

If you are going to use that as a rebuttal then you should not use a minority of Bison fans opinion on whether we wanted to play the game again or whether we moved on etc etc etc as one of your standard come backs.

Actually it was just one of many subjects in the course of a broader conversation. As in hey did you see the t they are putting out for the game. Yep. Its sucks. I m not buying it, Me either---then the conversation moves on-------Just a small footnote as it may be.

I really didn't pay attention to the exact detail. I think season tix went up 25.00??? I haven't received my tickets yet and it wasn't that big deal to ask what the break down was. The also had different pricing last year.

Lying to myself? You obviously have never read any of my posts expounding on the fact I wanted the rivalry to resume. The student interest in the game is real and has been written about in the school paper. I have never believed the idiots who said that the current students didn't know about the rivalry. There ARE some fans who have moved on. There are people at NDSU who did not want to play you again. All of this is fact. But I believe the majority of fans wanted the rivalry to resume. I am one of them. So you may now direct your view of what you think all Bison fans think some where else.

When the picture of the shirt came out there were many of my friends who were emailing-texting-private messaging on how much they though the shirt sucked and they wouldn't be buying it. I am also in that camp. I would say at least 50 plus people considering we have over 30 in our tailgate group alone. Plus considering I have been in Fargo the past 3 days there have been many face to face conversations. So there may have been more than 50.

They raised them just like you guys did. Plus the fact that many schools are going to the different prices for different games. The fact remains the season ticket package didn't go up that much. Only the single game tickets actually reflect a difference in pricing per game. They made a t-shirt? So what? Yes I also wanted to play UND as opposed to those tomato cans. At least we have history. You have for years. May be you have forgotten. But I wouldn't read more in to anything on that list. The T-shirt thing I find funny. The students may buy it but I haven't met an adult that likes it.
